Final Words and Conclusion

Undoubtedly, the X-22 is a very well balanced case. It is simple and elegant while the faceplate design with the mirror strip and small temperature LCD subtly draws attention. The paint of the case is smooth and resistant to scratches while both metal and plastic parts are very durable and so it should last for many years.

The thermal performance is not incredible, but it is silent and should be adequate for any non-heavily overclocked system. The small details like the removable drive cage, the hiding padlock and the rolled edges inside the case add to the value. Although there were no major flaws with the X-22 and the case is quite spacious, its interior design could be improved in the future to allow better cable management. However since this is not a windowed case, it is not highly critical for the cables to be hidden for aesthetic purposes, although obviously good cable management will slightly increase the thermal performance of the case. This problem is easily minimized by using a modular PSU instead. The X-22 is very competitively priced as well, making a good choice for the money.

Because of the overall performance, aesthetics and quality of the X-22, we believe that the case is worthy of our DriverHeaven Editor’s choice award.
