Video Conversion
Our video conversion test takes a short 1080 resolution WMV-HD file (129Mb) and converts it to Mpeg-4/DivX Compatible format with a file size of 60Mb.

As expected there are no differences in conversion time. Neither of the boards support any kind of video playback/conversion acceleration which is a feature of some AMD boards, so the entire process is handled by the CPU. Since both systems used the same CPU and memory configuration the results were expectedly the same.
Audio Conversion
Our audio conversion test takes a 430mb, 16 track (71min) CD rip (WM Lossless) and converts it to 128Kbps Mp3 with a file size of 67.2Mb.

Again, the two results are almost identical. Were we to use a faster FSB CPU on the G33M the results would have obviously shifted in its favour, but when the terms of engagement are the same, both the 650i and the G33 chipsets perform about equally. This is to be expected, since both chipsets fall into the high end category in terms of speed and bandwidth.
