The Cooler:

The NC-U6 Chipset Cooler comes packaged in the typical Noctua colours fully visible through the plastic cover, along with the mounting hardware.

The back of the package has a brief presentation of the product in six languages along with some specifications.

Push-pins and Hooks:

The NC-U6 contains of two dual U shaped heat pipes surrounded by 29 aluminium cooling fins, which makes up a total heat dissipation area of 500cm2. This should be sufficient to keep the hottest chipset cool.

The NC-U6 is very large cooler for a chipset cooler; I took a picture with a lighter for reference.

The base of the cooler isn’t mirror polished but it is smooth enough to do the job without problems. I scratched my nail against the base of the heatsink and didn’t feel any machine marks it was completely smooth to the touch.
