Super
Pi is a very simple, yet popular benchmarking
program. It simply calculates a number of decimal
digits of the p number and then notes the time
it took the system to do that. Again, we see
that there is little to be gained by tighter
timings, but a lot when overclocking the whole
system and the RAM along with it.

Doom
3 was perhaps the most awaited first person
shooter game in 2004. It was one of the most
demanding games with phenomenal graphics at
the time of its release. The game also has an
included timedemo which we run as a benchmark.
We always used the Ultra detail settings. We
find our framerate being limited by the capabilities
of our GPU, but nonetheless we can see that
the tight timings actually make a considerable
difference when gaming.

is perhaps the most GPU taxing first person
shooter game available. The nice thing about
this game is that it includes a benchmark which
not only measures the FPS across the timedemo,
but also their distribution percentage. Here
again we see that the low latency settings can
sustain a better framerate, but not necessarily
perform better at all times as well. They appear
to come on par with the modules running at stock
timings when the average framerate is calculated,
however it seems that a more consistent framerate
can be sustained.
