Driver Heaven Photoshop V2 Bench
Most people are tired of running 3dmark and PCMark and similar benchmarks, while these are visually attractive benchmarks they are not in many cases indicative of real world situations, this is not the case with Photoshop. This is a real world application with a myriad of uses appealing to all users from digital photographers to budding graphic designers. It is also a wonderful test of all round system performance, specifically memory bandwidth and CPU processing power. For full information and links to download this bench for yourself and to compare scores with other Driver Heaven members, head over here. We are using Photoshop CS3 for this testing.

When using Photoshop we can see that certain filters favour the tighter timings of the OCZ memory but others prefer the raw speed of the Kingston. Both Texturiser Test 1 and CMYK Colour Conversion favour the ReaperX with Stained Glass and Watercolour preferring the HyperX. Also worth noting is that in the more demanding tests it is the HyperX which performs better (Tests 10 to 12) and this results in an overall win for Kingston.
