MKV
A 720p .mkv file was played back in Windows Media Player 11 using the CCCP codec pack. This file was recorded from HDTV and converted to .mkv as it is one of the most popular HD codecs.

Due to the fact we are using a QX9770 CPU running at 3.4GHz the overall processor usage for high definition playback is quite low but regardless of this there is still a small variation in performance when playing back content on various sticks. The more expensive corsair modules are slightly ahead in performance but on the whole Kingston and OCZ perform very well and provide near identical results whether we are watching content from disc or hard drive.
