F.E.A.R.
is one of the few games on the market which utilises
dual core processors so it’s ideal for testing
the performance of the FX-62 and Core 2 based
systems. Testing was performed at 1920x1200 with
4xAA and 16xAniostropic Filtering applied in-game.
Soft shadows were off. We chose this resolution
as its one that people may actually use in real
gaming scenarios.

F.E.A.R.
provides us with the first gaming test of this
review and with it one of the results the majority
of you will have been looking to see. The DDR2-800
results show the two products being tested today
are very well matched. There is a minor variation
in minimum FPS however this may just be down to
the margin of error. DDR2-1066 results are a little
more conclusive when looking for a performance
leader though and the Corsair memory opens up
a small lead in performance.
