Final
words and conclusion
What
we did like:
The
main asset of Revoltec gaming products is their
very aggressive pricing. Checking the prices one
after the other, they usually cost almost half
the money you would normally pay for a high grade
gaming device from a well known manufacturer.
Naturally, we suspected that because of the low
price the quality would be vastly inferior, but
the Revoltec products felt quite durable and well
built. No, they are not on par with a top grade
gaming device which costs more than twice the
money, but they are far from bad and are certainly
usable. Aesthetically, they don't look bargain
basement which is an added bonus.
What
we did not like:
While
the Fightboard was very good to use and we could
not ask for more for the money, we had a few complaints
from our extended testing with the Fightmouse.
Our main complaint is the DPI switching method.
It is unlikely, if not impossible, to make it
usable in-game, since it requires some time to
properly adjust and that is just not possible
while playing a fast paced FPS or action game.
The weights bundle also felt inadequate, we would
like to see more weights included and a better
weight locking mechanism as well.
Who
would we recommend it to:
Revoltec
themselves are pretty straightforward about who
they want to buy their products; gamers. They
are pretty good gaming devices, well built and
very aggressively priced. Casual gamers will love
them and most enthusiasts will do so as well.
But hardcore gamers may be better off with another,
more expensive and higher class product.
Considering
the above, we believe that the Revoltec Gaming
Desktop products are worthy of our Shortlist Award.
