V-Drive and Overclocking

Starting off with V-Drive we tested 3DMark2003, 2001 and Unreal Tournament. Either in 1.01.51 V-Drive is not yet functioning or it has no effect on the scores achievable by the Volari. Each test was within 50 points (or 2fps) of the non V-Drive score. Very Disappointing.
From Stock clocks off 350/450 the maximum stable overclock on the Volari was 360/474, that’s right only 10mhz on the core and 24mhz on the ram. The card did not become unstable at speeds above those however there were very noticeable artefacts and distortion. For such a small increase in clocks there is not really any reason to overclock the Volari V8 Duo.

For those who are interested here is the affect the above overclock had on 3dmark03:

The difference of 230 points equals a 4.9% performance increase from a 5% memory increase and 3% core increase.
