Oblivion
was released a while ago and features one of the
best looking game worlds ever seen on the PC.
The level of detail available mixed with the exceptional
use of HDR lighting is really the type of experience
that redefines what you expect from your games.

It's well
known that ATI have released a patch for their
driver which allows end users to apply AA and
HDR at the same time which makes for a pretty
stunning game environment and one which cant be
recreated on any Nvidia card at this point. Unfortunately
this patch hasn't made it into a WHQL driver at
this point and until it does we'll leave that
test/performance alone.
So with two ways to test
(Bloom with AA and no AA with HDR) we can take
a look at how the 4 cards being tested today compare.
The results are quite interesting. Without AA
applied the 7900 GTX is a clear leader in performance
and even outscores the GX2 . When we move to using
AA the 7900GTX performs on average at the same
level as the X1950XTX however the X1950XTX has
a much better minimum FPS result. It is also worth
noting that the X1950XTX outscores the 7950GX2.
