DriverHeaven Review

The Zen Micro

The Zen Micro looks simply stunning! I recommend the first thing you do when you get the player is to turn it on in a dark room. It’s a real shame that the player cannot last 12 hours with the backlight on. The player is illuminated with a gentle blue which originates from the buttons, the entire outlining edge of the player and of course the screen.

A simple removable back cover with the Zen logo covers the removable lithium ion battery. (Something the iPod Mini doesn’t sport). I don’t know if it is that noticeable, but the entire body of the player (except for the buttons) has glossy finish giving it that sleek and sexy look. If I could, I would take a picture of this player beside my glossy finished ThermalTake Tsunami Dream case.

The picture above shows off all the assortment of colours this player comes in. Unfortunately, the colour of the faceplate is the only part that changes. The rest of the casing remains white. To those who prefer a unified colour, may want to stick with the classic white.

To those who want a 3-D view of the Zen Micro, you can check it out here.
