The Software

As soon as the firmware was upgraded, I proceeded with the software installation. Software and drivers within the CD will work with the non-MTP enabled Zen Micro, otherwise you will need to visit Creative’s website and download the software updates for an MTP enabled player.

The total Creative software includes:

• Creative Removable Disk Manager – Used to adjust the amount of space allocated for data only in the Zen Micro
• Zen Micro Media Explorer – Used to manipulate data, music and synchronize between your PC and the Zen Micro.
• Creative MediaSource – Used to rip CDs and convert songs into MP3s with ease.

After installing the MTP enabled Zen Micro Media Explorer, the plugged in Zen Micro was immediately recognized and gave the following options as seen in the screenshot below.
