We mentioned above that the box that the
product arrived in was very large, I’m guessing one
of the reasons for this would be due to the large casing.
The actual case used by Alienware is similar in size and
design to a Chieftec Dragon; however, on top of the case,
you also have the Alienware shell and front panel that makes
the system taller, wider and longer than the Chieftec case.
As you can see from the pictures above,
the case itself is lovely. The shell is very nicely designed
and has a glossy finish throughout.
The Rear of the case is a standard design with nothing
abnormal going on.

Opening the side panel reveals the system’s
components. Something worth mentioning is how tidy the entire
case is. All cables are routed so that they are out of sight
until absolutely necessary and they are all tied into place
as to not get in the way.

Another nice touch is the foam lining in
the case, which runs down both sides of the case and along
the base, helping to dampen the noise produced.

You can also see from the shots that the
2 PCIe and 1 PCI cards are held in place by cardkeepers,
which are designed to provide some extra stability.
Additional cooling in the case is provided
by one side fan (80mm) which draws in air onto the GPU and
CPU areass and one rear exhaust (120mm) that extracts the
air from the system. Alienware seems to have also stuck
with stock heat sinks and fans for the CPU and graphics
cards.
