With the comprehensive package comes a 150 page manual,
with Windows XP Professional restore, alienspawn for restoring
the partition as it was shipped, a sticker, VGA convertor
(for the DVI out), a black stylish T-shirt, and a silver
presentation tin with a specially made reversable dual
surface mouse mat. This mat is top quality and an excellent
performer with a high quality optical or laser mouse.

The system ships with a old 66.xx driver
and this was something we needed to bring reasonably up
to date before running any tests. I modified a set of
the 71.84 drivers to accept the NV41 card and installation
was smooth and trouble free. The reason for using the
71.84 drivers was simple, they are a rock solid set with
excellent performance on titles such as Doom3, Half life
2 and Farcry. Later 75.xx sets have given me many problems
during testing.
The card is 12 pixel pipelines with 5 vertex units.

Alienware bundle an OEM "lite"
version of Ahead Nero burning and unfortunately not much
else, as ill detail on the cooling page to follow there
is no temperature monitoring software available and if
you want to install any graphics card overclocking software
again this is left up to the consumer.
As well as a driver CD and an OS restore (not a "full"
Windows XP), you get a CD and DVD "respawn"
package. Alienware charge extra for this when ordering
and its basically a means to revert the machine to the
shipping condition when you received it.
