Futuremark’s PCmark05
runs a number of tests on a system designed to
stress various aspects of the machine such as
CPU and graphics performance. With HD and Memory
tests also thrown in it’s a useful indication
of your systems overall performance. Scores in
excess of 5000 are considered excellent.

PCMark’s memory
scores tell a different story to Sisoft Sandra.
Whilst Sandra is looking at the possible memory
bandwidth PC mark tells us how well the memory
works in transfers, a more “real world”
scenario. The result is that the two Intel chips
perform better than their AMD competition. Graphics
tests show the exact opposite result and in this
we see the FX-62 performing better than the Intel
chips. HD performance is level across the board.
Overall in the PCmark test
we see that the combination of all components
on the Intel systems by far outscore the competition.
