F.E.A.R.
F.E.A.R. and the subsequent expansion pack both utilise dual core processors which is ideal for testing the performance of the FX-62 and Core 2 based systems.

In F.E.A.R. we are testing with Anti-Aliasing Disabled and Trilinear Filtering enabled. Graphics settings are set to minimum whereas PC settings in the configuration menu are set to maximum as we are using AMD's top of the range CPU.

Counter-Strike: Source
Counter-Strike: Source has a built in test which allows us to test the performance of each product on Valve's Source engine. The settings used are shown below and as we are running on boards capable of outputting via HDMI to a HDTV we have chosen the resolution of 1280x768 which looks great on this type of screen.

Gaming performance was an aspect of onboard graphics driven Nvidia motherboards which badly needed an overhaul when the X700 based AMD boards reached the market, these “690G” branded products had a significant performance advantage over the 6050 series boards, the 7050 gives the Abit board a little boost in games when compared to the Asus, however it is not enough to make the board competitive with the EQS model.
