Futuremark’s PCmark05 runs a number of tests on your system designed to stress various aspects of the machine such as CPU and graphics performance. With HD and Memory tests also thrown in it’s a useful indication of your systems overall performance. Scores in excess of 5000 are considered excellent.

The FX-60 continues its excellent performance in the last of our synthetic tests, particular highlights were of course the multithreaded performance. These tests include running tasks such as audio and video conversion at the same time…or virus checking and word processing. It’s in scenarios such as these that you would see some real world benefits over the single core CPU’s currently on the market.
