PNY GEFORCE FX 5600

UNREAL TOURNAMENT 2003:
First Person Shooters are always used in graphics card reviews and I see no reason to change that here, until Doom3 and Half-life 2 hit the streets later this year Unreal Tournament 2003’s engine is the most demanding FPS engine out there. That combined with its inbuilt benchmarking utility makes it a great choice of game to show how the FX 5600 performs in today’s games.

1024x768 0xAA 0xAF

1024x768 2xAA 2xAF

1024x768 4xAA 8xAF

With all of the above settings the card performed well above my expectations, when using 4xAA and 8xAF the botmatch speed was slow however certainly not unplayable.

1280x960 0xAA 0xAF
1280x960 2xAA 2xAF
1280x960 4xAA 8xAF

At 1280x960 the card again performed well. By the time 4xAA and 8xAF were applied the performance reached an unplayable level however this card is no slouch.
