Everest
Engineers Edition
No
software was supplied with the motherboard to
monitor temperatures or to give detailed information
on the hardware, so we installed our tool of choice
Everest
Engineers Edition.
The
image above (reading the eight icons from the
right), shows all the CPU temperatures
under full load, showing that the reference copper
intel coolers are doing a great job with the Xeon
CPU's. Even in a warm room under extended load,
I rarely saw temperatures hitting 60c.
Using
the programs internal onscreen option, we get
the full array of temperatures and voltages in
an easy to read manner.
Running
some Everest Tests we see relative performance
to other processors:
In
the CPU zlib test the dual Xeon
setup scores around 150,000 which is around 90,000
more than a 4 CPU Xeon 5140 (2333mhz) system on
an Intel S5000VSA motherboard (older i5000V chipset),
Core 2 Duo E6300 scores around 25,000 in the same
test. The CPU Queen test shows
the Xeon X5365 scoring just over 16,000 which
is around twice the 4 CPU Xeon 5140 result. For
reference a Core 2 Duo E6700 Cpu scores around
5,400 in the same test.
