Our encoding test takes a 283mb DVD movie file which is
4mins 44seconds in length and encodes it to DivX format
(39mb) (1000kbps) using DrDivX. Two passes are used and

The Nforce 4 based Asus board was the fastest Intel board
we had ever tested in our encoding test until the MSI
board arrived last week. The improvements over the previous
generation’s chip (925 used in the AA8XE) is huge
in the encoding test with the 945p gaining 20 seconds
over the course of a 5minute clip. Looking at this over
a 2 hour movie and you’re going to save roughly
8 minutes of encoding time which is a pretty stunning
