Our video playback test uses the ultra demanding Step
Into Liquid clip from the Windows Media website. We’re
using the 1080 quality file here in its native resolution.
CPU usage is recorded and shown below. Obviously the lower
the score the better the performance of the board as you
have more CPU power to play with for other applications
whilst watching the clip.

The ultra demanding WMV test does really stress the system
and to ensure we’ve pushed the CPU and board to
the maximum levels we’ve disabled the WMV acceleration
in the video card drivers. In this test all three boards
on test performed perfectly and each provided completely
playable frame rates with no dropped frames. Sound quality
was also spot on and completely in sync. By the end of
the test the MSI board was again the fastest performer
however not to any noticeable amount for the end user.
