Benchmarking:
All the tests have been run 3 times and the scores represent an average of the three. These are not comparisons against other systems, rather just tests to show people what they may expect as far as the performance range of this system configuration.

CPU Arithmetic Benchmarks

CPU Multi-media Benchmarks

Adobe Photoshop is the premier standard image editing software. Thanks to Allan "Zardon" Campbell we now have a standard Adobe Photoshop benchmarking script for use here at Driverheaven. The scripts main purpose is to isolate and stress a CPU alone and give us the results.

The action script is setup to apply certain filters and includes some professional editing commands. It is set not to go into layers. If you apply several layers to a large file then paging will occur and then the hard drive comes into play. Which means the CPU itself is not stressed. The basis for this bench is to stress only the CPU as much as possible.

Counter Strike Source Video Stress Test:

As you can see from the results below, this system should handle games like Half Life2/CSS Source without issues. My personal settings for HL2 are 1360x1024 w/4XAA 8XAF and it runs extremely well.

NoAA Trilinear Filter 2XAA 4XAF 4XAA 8XAF
1024x768 123.44 121.85 117.36
1280x1024 112.01 102.13 99.48
1600x1200 99.63 86.25 82.59
