Installation:

Installing the Noctua heatsinks was very easy; I will now show you how it’s done.

Here’s the hardware needed to mount the Noctua Heat sinks to a socket 939 system. Noctua provides a metal backplate to add some stability to the rather heavy coolers. You can also see the U-shaped brackets needed for the installation and the screws and springs needed.

First you will have to mount the brackets onto the heatsink using the small screws provided with the cooler.

Then align the Heat sink with the backplate and screw it on using the supplied screws and springs. Don’t forget to apply some thermal paste, I didn’t use the one supplied with the cooler I decided to use Arctic Silver 5.

Mounting the fan was very simple, just use the provided fan steel clips and snap the fan on. Like this:
