Rainbow Six Vegas

Vegas is the latest in a long line of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six series and makes it into our test suite due to its use of the advanced Unreal 3 engine. There is no doubting that the game looks stunning at high resolutions so let’s see how today's review product handles the game.

In Rainbow Six Vegas we see there is only a minor difference between the XT results when changing from 16:10 settings to 4:3, the GTS doesn’t fare as well and has an average framerate reduction of 7fps. Overall the XT has a strong showing in Vegas with average framerates in both resolutions being much stronger than the GTS. Due to the fact we are testing at the games maximum settings and this is an incredibly demanding engine neither card provides suitable minimum framerates and some tweaking would be required to play at the resolutions tested.
