S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was one
of those games which looked destined never to
be released with delay after delay in its development.
Thankfully it did finally come out and is one
of the few games available which can really push
top end hardware. For this test we have enabled
all ingame options and set them to their maximum
level.

Stalker
performance shows some interesting comparisons
between XP and Vista. On the GTS front we have
a minor 2fps average framerate difference however
AMD take a much higher hit in this game when changing
OS’s. XP looks to be the preferred OS for
both cards overall and in that setup the XT manages
to just edge out the GTS in this test.
