Hardware Installation:
The Soprano comes equipped
with tool-free hard drive and floppy drive installers. Using
them is very simple, just slide a drive into one of the
bays, align the screw-holes of the drive and case, attach
one of the tool-free installers, push-in and turn clock-wise.
This literally takes 15-seconds to do.
You do not have to use the
tool-free installers, if you wish you can use the supplied
screws to mount a drive.
Installing 5.25’’ optical drives
is as easy as installing a 3.5’’ drive, simply
align the pins on the drive rail with the drive holes and
attach the rail, then slide the drive in through the front
of the case.
The Thermaltake Soprano has EMI protection springs around
the edges of either side of the case to shield against electromagnetic
interference from other electronic devices.
Also featured is an ‘intrusion detector’
which, when hooked-up to compatible motherboards will alert
you via the motherboards on-board speaker when the side-panel
is unexpectedly opened.
The Soprano also features tool-free expansion
slots, which allow for quick and easy upgrades. These are
very secure and like the 3.5’’ drive bays are
optional.
