The Case:
I took the case out of the box and removed
the usual foam bumpers and protective plastic, and found
it to be very stylish, with some nice curves on the front.
The overall feel when handling the case is that it is very
sturdy. The backside reveals a 120mm exhaust fan. And on
the side you can see that it has the usual 80mm intake fan
for cooling the vga card, but it also have a fan duct for
the CPU that takes a 92mm fan. (Which I will cover later
on in the review.)
When opening the front door, you can see there’s
room for four 5.25” devices and two 3.5” devices.
You can also see that Antec has a lockable double hinge
door, that allows it do open to a 270° angle. This minimizes
the risk that you will break the door off by mistake. I
only wish that Antec had made the door in a more sturdy
material such as steel like the rest of the case, or in
some heavier plastic. Because compared to the rest of the
case the plastic front door feels very flimsy.
Here you can see the standard I/O features
hidden behind a little hatch with the Antec logo on it.
Dual USB’s, one firewire and the usual mic and headphone
connectors.
The Antec TX1050B also has adjustable feets
for improved stability.
