ok well long story a little bit shorter. I always thought gaming on a computer was a nerd thing. Then one day me and my friends stop at a kragens to get some oil for our(ok... my) bucket. and there it was... a place called skynet. people outside eating twizzlers and drinking bawls. went inside to take a peek. counterstrike.. i was hooked. but $10/ 3hrs i needed to find a way to do it myself.here we are 5 yrs later... i built my first computer.. im so proud. i went to frys anoyed a lot of people so now i have: antec 900 case,gigabyt p35ds3l m board. e8400 cpu, 4g crucial ballistik, 500g seagate sata, coolrmstr 600w ps, zalman110m cpu cooler and .............. da dada! a 8600gts256 mb . i thought i was tight. till someone told me my graphics card sux.(actually a few) .this is why i need the zotac 9800gtx. i think that'll shut em up. please dh.net. hook a buddy up. if not at least wish me luck, im gonna go to a competition in san jose,ca (my hometown where it all started) called nvision08 im so juiced.... i just need my comp. to be too. well take it easy. thanks =D

...oh and if anyone thinks that gamers are just a bunch of nerds, theyre wrong.... well maybe some of them are.. but everyone i've met so far, thanks to gaming on a pc, have been pretty cool people. peace yall

This card is so cool!!! I have been dreaming about a buying a card like this for so long... I have to go to my friend's places to play any new game.. Have an old machine with 64MB card.. The fact that I'm studying IT makes this fact really suck... I'm hoping to buy a new rig soon.. and would love to win this... (especially since I cant afford it )

Since i was a child, i never taste a game with a full high quality graphics. because my father doesn`t have money to buy the High-End Graphic cards like 9800 gtx , i just wanna feel the game with A High quality, even just one time, and i hope zotac could help me to fulfil my dream.

Once I lived by gaming and had given up coz I could not afford to buy a video card to play the sophisticated games. Now that I have the machine but need this monster by which I can live again!!!!

I'm a supporter of stereo 3D gaming (S3D). I like to play games and see them in 3 dimensions because it's much more enjoyable and immersive. To do that, you need to render a different view for each eye.

My dream system right now would contain a 60 inches Mitsubishi WD-60735 with a series 9 NVIDIA video card. This HDTV features what Mitsubishi calls "3D Ready" and it is cheap for the size. If I used this HDTV as a monitor for S3D gaming, I would need a very powerful video card to render a view for each eye at 1080p resolution while still keeping high fps.

This is why you should give me this video card. Thank you.

Why do I need that card? Well saying that would be an exaggeration, but my life would be a hell of alot better if I had one of those.
I'm absolutely fucking SICK of my MX4000, and I have a beautiful dual core pc standing by with ONBOARD graphics, and while all my friends are sitting there playing CoD4 on their nice 8600GT machines, i'm sitting here playing the classic UTs. Might sound stupid, but i'm embarrased. I just look stupid playing UT when they're round mine, they usually sit on my ps2 while i'm sitting here gaming away on my piece of shit. I can't get a job, i'm only 14, so there is no way in hell of me making the sort of money to upgrade my newer rig. It makes me feel so alone in this world playing on this pc, and I am too poor to get even a GeForce 7 Series card. And it kills to be alone, when I play on CoD4, Crysis, my urge to play them again is so high that when I get home i'm just so bored i feel like shooting myself, (metaphorically ofcourse) please let me win that beauty. It would me the world to me.
And to add with this, I can start making games, which i've been raring to learn a programming language, and I already have a small knowledge of C++ and Dark Basic Professional, but I really don't want to be making games for a generation 2 generations lower than the current one. And maybe in a couple of years, when I have a job, i'll be more of a success with my new graphics card and will have learned to program with the dx10 api (doubt dx11 is coming out till 2011 atleast) and will be able to start earning money from programming

And, this is my first post. I'll start posting much more soon

EDIT: I think i should add, I got my DC pc last christmas, and it's not been sitting and collecting dust, but still needs a good card like i said =/

Well i am a new user here, I found this site through google searching for graphics card tests (i found this interesting article http://www.hardwareheaven.com/reviews....d=544&pageid=1 then i saw the add about a great card!).
These cards here in Greece are very expensive (about 370-600 euro).
I have an old Ati x1800GTO and with the coming of Age Of Conan Online i will need some boost in my pc (it lacks only in gpu :P). I have had bad experience of Crysis and HL2 and Gears Of War unfortunately..


So i need the card for having a great gaming time with the modern demanding games and especially with the AoC

Ive read this whole thread, I cant really stand here and say someone that is in a more difficult situation doesnt deserve it and I do. Because after reading this, theres alot of misfourtunate people that do deserve somthing like this more than me, and the hundreds of others.

I can say a 9800 gtx is a great card, as you can tell from all the responses in this thread, however anyone who is able to win a card like that will be very greatfull.

A 9800gtx would be a great addition to mine, or anyones system.

I'm about 3 weeks away from upgrading my whole machine to a quad core beast. At the moment I have a ATI x1900 video card which is becoming obsolete and I've been contimplating whether to go for a Nvidia/geforce type card now. I've always bought ATI cards as I've always been pretty happy with them but having the opportunity to have a brilliant Geforce card in the Zotac 9800GTX might sway me to the other side from now on.....

I believe that I deserve the Zotac 9800 GTX for being the most lovable mamma's boy this semester. By sitting on my behind studdying, beside blisters, I also got good grades to clear my shame for the past couple of years where I have usually been more into girls, gaming and sometimes work.
Yes I did get money from that last thing but summer jobs are not all that lucrative when earning a minimum wage(250$ where I am from).That doesn't really do when you plan a trip, if you want to eat better than salamy 3 times a day .Temptations are high in that time of th year.Fortunately I let girls buy my drinks for me but that doesn't make it any cheaper when you're on vacation.

Crysis is not really my thing but I heard modern game animations are as fluent as motion pictures.For that, even spellforce 2 moves like a slide show on what I've got.Gothic 3 however looks like heaven(I guess everything is just a shiny white up there.... or at least that is what my blank screen looks like when I try to play it).I've been saving money for the past 6 months out of my allowance and what money I managed to haul out of last years payday, which I plan to invest in a better PC.
Winning the Zotec would be the perfect addition to it and at the same time an amazing present for my eighteenth birthday.Since that's the end of the under age tag in my country,... free booze for all!I'll send you some cake too to prove it, or just to thank you for the prize.

I'd love something to gain the maximum possible frames, and actually enjoy the eye-candy of having AA/AF turned to max, without it hampering my gaming experience.

I would love to have this card to see what nice fast graphics would look like. What I currently have doesn't give me cutting edge graphics that I need to make Driver Heaven the beautiful graphic masterpiece we all know it is. I have been stuck for years with great audio and I would love to see what top quality graphics look like. Right now Driverheaven is stuck on 640X480 and 8 bit color! it is hampering my posting abilities. Please, please help me live up to my posting potential and send me this video card.
