Re: Win a set of Razer Mako Speakers on DH!
I would like Razer to make a workspace (desk/seating surface/screen stand) that can use the Razer components (like have a little spot where the Mako speakers can go) that also includes expandable options like multi-monitor mounts, a racing style chair that can recline, fans that move air around the computer area and the entire desk surface using the same texture as the Razer mousing surface.

Re: Win a set of Razer Mako Speakers on DH!
What product range/s would you like to see next from Razer?
I would like to see some high-end LCD screens from Razer... Then I'm talking about 22" to a range of 32" with the highest possible specifications. This all around PC's... Not for TV's... A screen looking "Razer'like" with spec's like 32", 2ms response, 2560 x 1920 resolution. Maybe possible to also arrange a 21:9 serie's ? Besides the usual 16:9 formation you would keep all eyes on you with this formation... Also like some users stated. Some Razer cases would be awsome. Looking simply and nice slick but very affective. I'm talking about placing the components (PSU, HDD's...) but also cable management. This is very poorly on some cases today. Maybe a possible plan is to make comparable CPU coolers. These don't have to perform like the high-end coolers today, but think about it. A Razer screen, speakers, headphones, mouse, case and a beautifull CPU cooler inside the case. This is what I call 'bling bling'... (Ps: Piano black blinging paint would totally support the brand Razer. Integrate this to your screens, cases, and stuff, and it would be lovely.) |

Re: Win a set of Razer Mako Speakers on DH!
One thing that I've noticed is that no one is really making screen-tables to use with Microsoft's touch thing (Don't know the name). Razor should make one of those but upscale it to the size of a typical work desk. It won't have too much practical application in the home, but some big businesses could use it for their CEOs who make 7 figures...

Re: Win a set of Razer Mako Speakers on DH!
Alright, so here's my idea (Worked hard at it for a while, taking in a lot of laws of physics and putting my limited knowledge of acoustics into it).
I wanted to send this in to Bose to see if it would actually work, but I have a better chance of winning the Razors than Bose listening to a crazy idiot like me. AND, since Razer is working in conjunction with THX, maybe this idea won't be as stupid as I imagine it to be. Basically, you have 2 powered subwoofers firing into a chamber that houses 4 unpowered cones, making this a both closed, and ported subwoofer. Now, I know it's not the most efficient way of incorporating them.. But don't burst my bubble! So yeah, back to the system. The two powered subwoofers fire into the chamber causing the unpowered cones to move along with them. Having 4 unpowered cones firing in all directions will allow for a very even distribution of soundwaves resulting in better surround sound bass should Razer decide to go full 5.1 or 7.1. The chamber that houses the unpowered cones will have small holes. Why? I think equalizing the pressure will improve acoustics depending on altitude, since a high pressure zone will get less throw of the unpowered cones because the pressure outside the chamber will cause impediment of the movement of the cones. This could possibly also prevent damage because in a high altitude environment, the unpowered cones will be thrown a lot further, which may damage them. This structure will be tall, but I think it can deliver better sound (I say think because I don't know how effective this will be). The low rumbles and hard thumps will be emitted through the ports, and the extreme fine detail in music and in movies can be produced by the unpowered cones. Hopefully, this kind of system will be able to go to lower lows (Most home theater systems only go to 40hz, which I think is a little high considering most high quality headphones can go to 15 and sometimes 10hz) and can provide a smoother crossover to satellites because, in theory, it will be able to produce higher frequencies. I will not stop doubting myself that this system is in no way efficient, but I just think it's really cool. I came up with it in Business Management class (Bore!) and it looks really good on paper. If only I had the materials at hand to put this through a physical test. Would be kinda nice if I did try it and it worked. Well, hope you enjoyed reading this. I never intended to post it here, in fact, I never thought posting it until I posted my previous idea. It's nice to finally be able to share this little contraption .

Re: Win a set of Razer Mako Speakers on DH!
Another speaker idea, this time, for a desk mounted product range.
Since Razer has made a 2.1 system, I'm sure they'll be willing to look into 2.2 systems because not everyone likes having a bulky subwoofer on the floor. This is a stereo system mounted on a desk, about the same size as Altec Lansing's new line of 2.2 systems, but this one is better .So, here is what makes it better. Razor and THX with the Mako have an interesting idea of making sound bounce off a surface spreading it almost 360 degrees (Just talking of the satellites here). Here's my idea. Have basically the same idea in mind. The picture explains most of it, but here's the rest. The entire system is divided into 4 separate chambers. One for the amplifier (Both the speakers will have an amplifier in it to provide the maximum wattage), one each for the tweeter, mid-range, and sub-woofer. The cones (Which are badly drawn) hang over another aluminum cone that splits the audio from the tweeter and mids only, and sends them 270 degrees since the amplifier will be taking up most of the back end of the system. Since these will be small, an unported subwoofer will not be able to provide the sheer force that a ported one could, so this one will be ported. The subwoofer will be a 4 inch long throw, 2.5 inch mid-range, and a 1 inch tweeter. The range will be from 20hz to 20khz. Sorry about drawing these out, but I can't really explain how they work without illustrating them :\.

I'd like to see an OLED gaming keyboard by Razor. The only one on the market right now isn't really built for gaming, it's just made for ease of access in normal web browsing or business.

I'd like to see a Razer backlit gaming keyboard with a PS/2 port. I use a KVM switch which only has PS/2 keyboard and mouse inputs, and lose functionality when using a USB keyboard with a PS/2 adapter.

Re: Win a set of Razer Mako Speakers on DH!
I think razor should make some Accessories that we gamers need besides the everyday. I would get, and know a ton of people that would get a backlit stand for a small quick-key guide for all these various games, from wow to X3. Nothing giant, but a lot of nice little items that people could afford would be snached up like hotcakes... mmmm hotcakes.

I'd definitely like it if Razer released cheaper 5.1, 2.1, and 2.0 systems for budget gamers. One of the many, but main, reason so many people are posting here is because they can't afford a $400 sound system.

Re: Win a set of Razer Mako Speakers on DH!
Razer should make some backlit keyboards as well for gaming and multimedia, maybe with some kind of mouse integrated, volume & stuff. I would like to see Razer do some vents and custom coolers, and maybe some pc mods tools for example some x-swings for mounting 2 or more hard disks in 5,25" bays, some neons and everything we might need as accesories for our PC.Go Razer, go!

Re: Win a set of Razer Mako Speakers on DH!
I would like to see Razer release its own T.R.U.E Intellimouse Range (I know Microsoft probably has copyrighted Intellimouse, but in my opinion they're not intelligent at all).
The T.R.U.E (The Razer Unidentified (I couldn't find an animal starting with 'U' so it's Unidentified for now!) Engine) in the Razer T.R.U.E Intellimouse detects nerve signals and other data from your palm while in use. These signals are fed into the onboard processor which optimizes the mouse according to your hands vital statistics such as Temp, Heart Rate, Hand Size and postion and more. The technology behind the T.R.U.E Intellimouse is Classified. The T.R.U.E Intellimouse can obviously be renamed if an appropriately named creature starting with 'U' is discovered. Who knows...this mouse is so intelligent it has written this entry for me, and seeks world domination... The T.R.U.E Intellimouse, the TRULY INTELLIGENT Mouse (who is watching your every move) Disclaimer: The T.R.U.E Intellimouse and its quest for world domination are not affiliated with Razer in any way. The Razer Mako is known to hunt T.R.U.E Intellimouse and may possibly eradicate harmful Intellimice and save the world as we know it. Results may vary.

I would like to see more wireless products from Razer with new no lag technology, like Razer Mamba.
A revised wireless Tarantula would be a perfect product.

Razer webcams would be nice to see. About 2 effective megapixels. That won't be enough though. Apple's webcam software far outdoes any webcam software available for PC's, so Razer should make better software than Apple.

Re: Win a set of Razer Mako Speakers on DH!
They've got a pretty and unique logo. I'd like them to make keyrings with their logo. Something similar the XFX keyrings won on DH. Those look nice.
Razer mostly makes products that interact directly with the gamer. I think they don't make gamepads. A good wireless gamepad would be nice. It needs good analog triggers and lots of buttons. Right now, I use a wireless Xbox 360 gamepad when playing racing games on pc because it's easy to keep the car in control and it's too combersome to install my racing wheel every time I want to play a racing game. However, while the Xbox 360 gamepad has many buttons, it could have more. A unique product that could maybe be successful on pc is a wireless gamepad with a trackball or a touchpad in the middle. That way you could use your gamepad both as a gamepad and a mouse so you would not have to switch back and forth between the mouse and gamepad when navigating your games menus or Windows. Another nice feature would be a programmable display in the middle of the gamepad. You could write plugins in some games to write stuff on the gamepad display. |

Razer should make cellphones. They should also make them OEM unlocked and not operator specific. This would be great for NVIDIA's new GPU technology for cellphones

Re: Win a set of Razer Mako Speakers on DH!
I think they should expand on their mouse and keyboard software to include other brands like stelseries, logiech, microsoft, ect.. where you can set key functions and macros for keyboard and mouse keys
(if compatable) and add gametracker, punkbuster and game updates with n added function of a multi perpose chat client that would work wih teamspeak, ventrrillo, and do automatic game updates as well as let you run rcon. All that would be missing is a good anti-virus/firewall suite like G-Data Internet Security 2009. all the software is out there already except the 3rd prty use of razor software. Steelseries uses Bullguard for it`s av/firewall, Maybe Razor could contact a av/firewall software for it`s use and create a suite that would do as I suggested. It would make Razor money even fron 3rd party hardware users and the software would be uniqe and usefull. |

Re: Win a set of Razer Mako Speakers on DH!
I think Razer should consider adding a Gaming Ethernet NIC similar to the Bigfoot NIC. However, this NIC could offer some unique features to gamers such as:
The NIC could have an enhanced data rate bluetooth silicon which would communicate with a Razer keyboard / mouse. The NIC could also have a table of games and keyboard/mouse commands in memory and would be aware of the current game the user is playing. Where this NIC would set itself apart is the ability to take the PC out of the loop in certain critical gaming situations. For example, if a player is in a FPS and is in a critical kill / be killed situation, the NIC could identify situations where the player is about to execute a command key sequence to shoot the other player. In this case, because the NIC is continuously talking to the keyboard/mouse, it could preemptively execute the sequence before the PC even processes the keyboard/mouse interrupts and hands the info off to the NIC. I could see in some cases in FPS situations where response time is critical, that the first person to execute the shoot to kill commands would win. In this situation, having a NIC that could "read the user's mind" and execute would improve the odds of that player surviving and prevailing. |

I think razer should come out with a product line named the Gaboon.
Its an external AI device that interfaces with your computer through high speed laser light (which would make it almost instantanious). It requires no External input or output devices, so you wont need a keyboard or mouse, not even your speakers or headset. And what it does is... can you guess??? It plays your games for you. No more complaints from the wife/gf saying you spend too much time playing games. You will always have time for the family, and never have an excuse for not doing the dishes or taking out the trash. Eventually it might even entice some people to step outside to get some fresh air and exercise. With a tech line like that who would ever miss anything important. I know i sure wouldnt. Wish they had em out now, id go buy one this instant!!

Re: Win a set of Razer Mako Speakers on DH!
I'd love it if Razer released a small publication about the common misconception of Razers Spelling. I've seen numerous people calling Razer Razor. If you like Razers products, why not learn their name? The small leaflet could be distributed with all Razer gear, with a code you type into Razers website to activate warranty. After that you would have to answer a question relating to the spelling of Razer to confirm your warranty, thus ensuring you know how to spell the name of the company you love. The pamphlet could be called Dic Razer, Razer Dic, Razer|Razor, Razer or Razer? etc. It could higlight the difference about Razer and a Razor like this:
Razer (Rey-zer) Noun (Not to be confused with 'Razor') 1. The best gaming peripheral manufacturer in the world. 2. There is no need to explain any further. 3. Visit Razerzone.com for more information about pure happiness while gaming. Razor (Rey-zer) Noun (Not to be confused with 'Razer') 1. A keen-edged knife of peculiar shape, used in shaving the hair from the face or other parts of the body. 2. The sharp tusk of a wild boar. 3. Razor is NOT the name of a world leading gaming peripheral maker. (Source:Wiktionary) So, Razer can easily clear the common error of many gamers throughout the world. This simple solution could even result in more sales as some people will go to 'razorzone.com' or search 'razor' into google. Honestly, which is more exciting? A world leading gaming peripheral manufacturer, or a boars tusk??

Might be interesting to see them throw thier hat into the video card arena. The questions at that point would be: Do they work with one of the industry leaders or go it alone as an upstart which may be a bit difficult; and which course of action would get you to buy/try it?
Just a thought from the new guy. |

Re: Win a set of Razer Mako Speakers on DH!
Erm I think Razer should get into alarm clocks to remind me to enter DH competitions before they close, damn and blast.
My suggestion would have been a Razer gaming desk, I bet 90% of people here are gaming and surfing on a desk that was designed for letter typing and holding a printer/laptop. I wanna see a proper gaming desk with perfect ergonomics designed around a mouse/keyboard/monitor comination. As i'm late and very drunk you can have that one for free Razer, keep up the quality hardware and godbless DH and it's awesome competitions (you know we'd all visit you anyway). |
