I would like to see better heatsink/fans for cooling. Or ask Arctic Cooling if they can custom design one.

I would like to see Temperature readings, Fan speed, and voltage on an lcd screen that's on the cooler. I want to continue to see improvement on their cooling solutions for their graphic cards. I would like to see Display Port to be integrated along the side with dvi.

I would like to see ASUS offering the ability to adjust GPU core voltages. Pretty much what EVGA offers with their GPU Voltage Tuner Software.

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
The thing that I would like to see is a general decrease in size, noise output, and power consumption in that order. The cards out now have come a long way, but they still get to be worryingly hot, and they consume a ton of power.

I would like to see Asus team up with a known water-cooling part supplier and offer special edition high end cards with waterblocks. Or even more awesome would be TEC or Phase Change kit for even higher clockspeeds.

![]() While I want the full performance of a video card dedicated to demanding graphic needs like gaming, I would love it if ASUS could develop cards that sped up the general speed of the system, when the graphics card was being under-utilized. This would be great for office/productivity tasks and would provide more value to users and an incentive for them to buy a more powerful GPU, especially as an upgrade or SLI addition to their system. |

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
Let's see...
- Clock/voltage/fan speed control software, profile-based, with the option to store settings in it's BIOS (come on, there's "OC Profile" ins ASUS' mobos, why not in video cards?). - Custom PCBs, with simpler/better layouts (like aligning all the VRM MOSFETs, that would make it easier to use custom VRM heatsinks). - Better cooling... Or at the very least, custom cover over stock heatsink. ![]() - One 8-pin PCI-E connector instead of 2x6-pin, whenever applies. - Some kind of lightning in the cooler would be neat. I still remember the 7800GT with the blue led fan, that one looked GREAT. Even my old ASUS 6600GT had a blue led fan. - Optional (heatsink) backplates. Can't think of anything else right now.

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
How about better drivers, Much better Cooling (Things get hot), Bios upgrades on the cards, Better SLI support in games, Faster speed and graphics are always a bonus.
Most of all better price and cooling being biggest beefs that we all can agree on. I find temps still too high during loads as well as SLI still needs better support. What I like is finally dual monitor in SLI, Voltage regulation, Better automatic Fan control (Usually crashes when heat is way too much). Smaller sized cards with more ram. Beyond 1 gig for one gpu or even multi gpus on one card. Essentially More Speed, Less Heat, and more Ram. Forgot better after market coolers available to get temps down. |

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
Asus cards are already good cards so it's not missing anything huge but I'd like to see cooling solutions which endure and are cool & silent.
I've stumbled into couple asus cards in my gaming where cooler was making noise, didn't cool well enough and were noisy. ...perhaps even a way to use 2 monitors and hdmi tv at the same time...

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
I would like to see a color variety on pcb with Asus' cards!
It would be nice to have a choice between green, red, blue and black (and why not more colors)! I am sure many people that customize their cases would love this idea. (I mean color variety on the same model, such as a black and a blue GTX275)

Seamless support for multiple cards (of multiple brands mabe?) and more than 1 HDMI slot at the back so you can get 2 ro 3 HD monitors side by side
. Imagine two 42'' full-HD plasma TVs on top of each other

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
I would like to see asus modify the card to A) have more ram i.e 2gb or more, B) Bigger cooler(120mm fan or dual 92mm) C) Hardware fan controller(maybe a knob on the back) and D) Asus software for overclocking and fan control. As a side note, extras always make or break my decision. Free games or shirts are expecially nice. also i forgot to mention that differentiating yourself from other companies is a must; as i mentioned before, hardware changes and the like would really do this but including a fully covered warranty would also really help achieve this. By providing a warranty that guarantees the consumer full coverage even when overclocking, you show that you really are the best company.

Count me in on this...
I would like to see more bios updates on video cards as well as better cooling since cards are getting faster thus more heat generated. |

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
I like Asus video cards and currently use one for Photoshop CS4. I would like to see variants with larger memory capacities, something over 1GB. New Quadro's with 4GB look great but price is too high for non professionals, so something in between with larger memory would be wonderful. Other than that, I probably would like to see more elaborate coolers.

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
With regards to the newest release, GTX 275, however most aspects relevant to all mid-range products (200-300).
Asus needs to differentiate itself based on the bundle. The market segment is midrange, and at this price point consumers are looking for two things: Value, which is total [lowest] avg price for their graphic processor and related goods, and Overclocking, which mandates a strong cooler and easy access overclocking controls. However, differentiating yourself based on overclocking potential is a pretty tough sell, and EVGA, BFG and others have that market pretty covered. So while you've got to provide parity with them on those features, you will not be able to establish yourself as clearly superior to them based on this factor alone, since the same basic supplier tools are available to everyone +/- margin of error. This includes, engineering, speed-binning, and cooling solutions. Regarding the latter factor, you can only get so much cooling efficiency/mm^2 without resorting to exotic materials. For example, doing things like imregnating micro-diamonds into copper will yield a far greater pricetag since your manufacturing facilities will have to be revamped, or you will have to outsorce to a producer who has the corner on the market, low yield, and therefore high price (for any exotic heatsink this is true). Furthermore there are certain practical size limitations involved. I believe that anything greater than a single slot solution negatively correlates with sales, but for this target consumer it may not matter so much, since the majority will be willing to sacrifice the space for better heat managment and overclocking (since this isn't exactly the HTPC crowd, and extra power is required anyways, you must assume they are enthusiasts). The only real focus I can recommend hear is rear-exhaust systems. No one wants the extra heat in their case. On overclocking: Bundle a non-shitty voltage tuner, or, barring that, a non-shitty overclocking software. Spend some time on this. Make it look nice, and non-intrusive. Give it a nice temp monitor, fan speed adjustment (automatic profile modifacation for different ramp %/temp). Take cues from Rivatuner, they are the best at this. Make sure it is better than EVGA's. On Warranty: Give the consumer what they really want. The people buying a $250-270 product are looking for GTX 285 level performance at a steal price. They're cheap. Give them the assurance that they can overclock, without restriction, and be fully covered by your warranty as long as they do not increase voltage beyond a certain range. You can monitor this in the software. Do it. And if you can't, you'll take a hit on margin. So what, you're going to take a hit doing this anyways. But this is going to drive consumers away from EVGA and BFG both of whom have great warranties as it stands. Go the extra mile and gain their confidence. Finally, the bundle: Leverage CUDA apps. Bundle them. Give them Nero's latest video editing CUDA tool. Bundle 1 CUDA tool and 1 retail game. Make it Crysis Warhead. The only reason people are buying this card over GTX 260 and 250 is to play that game anyways. The CUDA leverage point is vital. If you can find decent software to show off nVidia's only current advantage over ATI, it will draw crossover consumers. If you can, give some sort of optional rebate or bundle with Photoshop, since this supports CUDA acceleration. Or Elemental RapiHD CUDA Plug-In for Premiere Pro CS4. Something like this. Test the audience, may be worthwile to offer this instead of the movie-editing option. That's about it. You're dealing with a, for the most part, limited differentiation factor. Leverage what the others haven't: Overclocking warranty and correctly targeted bundle. If nVidia has a problem with the Photoshop CS4 crossover due to their Quadro line, do the movie-editing. If not consider both. Run this as a promotion. See what happens. Last edited by pakotlar; Apr 17, 2009 at 06:41 PM. |

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
As an optional addon for those with money who want to support the green phenomenon;
an extremely large solar power panel hooked up to a cord directly into an auxiliary input on the video card, for when power requirements get ridiculous. A large battery would be used for spare power during night fragging. Some of the power is drawn from the solar setup, some is drawn from the regular power supply. |

I'd like to see a front panel (sitting in a DVD drive bay) that has a specially fitted device that sits under the cup holder (i.e., DVD drive above that bay) and keeps the cup warm using the warm air coming out of the card.
Oh, and it could have an LCD for displaying some interesting or boring stuff, too. |

Not really a hadware feature but I would like to see more creative artwork for the graphics cards...these gfx cards look like what a 5-year-old kid would want.
