I would like to see multi-"viewing angle" technology in the forthcoming ASUS Graphic Cards.
It would be very nice and realistic if we could see what's behind the wall in third-person shooter game such as GTA4, by moving our head towards the area which is not blocked by wall. Or another demo example, when a 3D box is viewed in usual angle, without moving our head, it only shows the front side of the box. However, if we raise our head just a little bit, we could slightly see the top side of the box in the monitor. It makes we feel "right in the place, right in the game". Maybe that needs more hardware than just a graphic card (webcam perhaps), but the main technology that make it happen is none other than a future graphic card. |

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
Improve cooling, especially for SLI situations by off-setting the fan from the center of the PCB. What I mean is this. Take a look at the Asus 8800 Ultra.
![]() See how the fan is partially hanging off the PCB? I think it should hang off as much as possible to fit most computer cases (2 inches maybe?) so that when running SLI or using a PCI card (sound card for example), it doesn't suffocates the intake of air. Now, since this problem will still exist with 2 identical video cards with an offset fan, the fan should be mounted on a small rail system. That way, the fan can slide out of the way of the fan of the 2nd video card below it. |

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
I'd like to see a video card that uses jet-turbine technology to keep it cool. With cards these days running at higher and higher mhz, heating becomes a huge issue next to power. I'm willing to pay 10-20 dollars more if I know that a card runs 2-5 degrees C cooler because of this technology and it somehow draws less power than factory specs.

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
what about a graphics card, whose GPU can be used as a CPU.....!!! Then highly calculation based jobs like 'Rendering' in 3dsmax/maya can become faster!!!

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
What i would like for the Asus videocards:
- a way to use more memory more efficient, and a way to access ram depending of the game just like the cores from a cpu are when 1st is load 100% go for second one; - the posibility to acces some extra ram(maybe virtual memory) under full load if you have let`s say 512 and you need a little extra for some sequences. - better stock cooling and quiet as well, maybe it can be done single slot. ASUS has money, people working for them, they have to find a way. - as said before some DDR5 memory and HDMI port - more power efficient and maybe a way that means no extra power from the PSU for the videocard - not so long (the pcb could be shorter) and a better or why not unique design, as well as different colours. - some little neons on the stock cooler would be nice to see - backplates on the pcb for heat dissipation |

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
I'd like to see Asus come up with a way to allow people to use the SATA ports that reside under most of the newer video cards. Maybe have the back part of the card raised up a little so anybody with that issue could still use the SATA ports.
In addition, better cooling is always welcome, along with pre-defined profiles depending on what the user is doing; allow user to manually choose profile, or have it set to auto choose profile to maximize cooling, ultimate silence, and/or multiple overclocking profiles. |

I would like Asus to come up with sata 2 capable videocard just like a hard drive
but instead of GB to deposit, GB as RAM. That would make ASUS like a genius huh?

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
ASUS has always done a great job setting themselves apart from the rest of the pack. I would like to see a few of the following:
*Like many others ASUS will include a game bundle, but instead of the actual game, why not team with STEAM or FILEPLANET and if I buy the video card I can CHOOSE my game to download? Gamers love to have options and if the game is any good, I already have it!* Native HDMI is always a plus, especially when connecting to newer monitors and TV's |

What I would like to see on the next design would be a dual GPU, crossfired interface with four to six DVI ports so that it would serve well for multitasking projects.
I know that crossfire as of now would only produce a single DVI output, but it would be so sweet if it was possible to create a dual display output for crossfire mode too...imagine a couple of 30" screen output display light up with a magnificent gaming experience. Definitely, the creator would be on top of the Video card market, brushing aside all others!!! ![]() ![]()

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
Innovative cooling instead of reusing the standard reference heatsink/fan designs which a lot of companies are guilty of doing. It must be cool and quiet, an example is to use water cooling which has already been done by one company that I know of.
And with high-end graphics cards getting bigger and bulkier, is there any reason why the pcb cannot be made smaller? If motherboards can be shrinked from ATX -> mATX -> mini-ITX, why not for graphics cards. |

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
I would like to see the following on future Asus graphic cards:
- a good thermal paste applied. - Thermal Electric Cooling(TEC) perhaps a hybrid system. - How about reversing the orientation of the cards so the cool graphics on the cooler cover are visible once installed in a case. This is why some cases have windows, to show off our cool components. - an LED temp display sensor built into the side of the cooling cover. - lower power demands. |

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
I would like to see a great manual on overclocking in the box. I know alot of people are scared that their cards will break when overclocking, but if ASUS supports the overclocking and show this to the public, great things might happen. It will stimulate people to overclock their cards (in a responsibile way), getting the full experience out of the cards. It is now safer than ever with the new over-current protection.

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
Even though most card manufacturers don't recommend overclocking, and most of the time it kills your warranty if something goes wrong anyways. I would like to see an added feature to Asus cards to automatically drop the clocks on it when it gets to hot or if there is a problem of some sort, now I know there is software that can do this but I would love to see it built into the hardware instead of the software.
I'm not sure if it's even possible but if there was a company who could do it it'd probably be Asus. With a feature like that the card could save a lot of people from major problems, think if you went out of town for a weekend and left your PC on and something fell on it and it started to overheat from constriction, with a major feature like that the Video Card could drop the clocks and raise the fan speed to keep the system from starting a fire, or atleast detour it for awhile.

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
In future ASUS cards I would like to see:
-Top of the line but still stylish coolers much like the ones on the MATRIX series. -Extra power connectors such as an 8-pin + 6-pin setup to ensure extra power for overclocking. -Software that allows for different overclocking settings depending on the game/program. -Dual HDMI or Displayports -Integrated 5.1/7.1 Audio processor (Xonar processors perhaps?) I might add more as I think of them. -Indybird |

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
I would like to see the possibility of adding extra RAM in the videocard, with software. Like Windows - Readyboost, which reserves space on the hard drive to use that for RAM... USB Sticks can do it as well...

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
1. What we would like to see from future Asus video cards customable PCB = replaceable chip / ram, (matrix its cool already) so we can bring / send to asus shop / dealer then pay for chip / ram only tus they took our chip for return to nvidia ex. = N250 to N275 you paid <50$ for chip upgrade, GDDR3 to GDDR 5/6
![]() 2. software to allow you to check / tweak GPU and memory voltage with (voltage edition as standard) ![]() 3. Fast, Silent and Cool & got Star Trek Holodecks rendering capabiliy ![]() 4. no more reference : asus plz. use your experience to tweak all aspect of gpu, so its better at comunicating to mb, cpu etc, that way people will buy asus mb vga & psu

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
I would like to see a heatsink for the card nade of meatals that absorb the heat and use a viriaty of different ways to cool the chip/fam/voltage/ with sometging like vaporchill, peltier, hybrid water- peltier cooling, phase change cooling and an option of adding SSD, USB ram, or a slot for DDR sticks of ram, havok and physix capable. another Idea would be make it capable of adding the new OCZ Z-Drive PCI-Express SSD for more ram.
there are many areas to inprove on. 1) better cooling 2.)better performance that will last 3)> no more stock cooling and make it easyer to get to the SATA ports! 4.)throw in the choice of software bundle, cooling bundle, or a premere bundle to offer more ram, upgradeable, software package (full versions) and games ( digital and added games or coupons for full retail games to the bundle, consider addind a pre-release deluxe edition on some games not released or offer them their choice). getting a card was like a present at christmas you got everything- video card, cables, games, software, adaptors, now you pay out the nose for a bare bones model that will make it 6 months before its forgotten and they want you to trust them AGAIN and pay even more money for another card and still get less with it. 5.) remember the customer- they pay your wages -so be greatful for them or lookup the word down sizing. 6.)MAKE your card compatable with your compitition, example- physix card & ATI. You sell gaming cards to people who want to play games. My 4 year old likes to game and I am 45 and like to game and my kids inbetween. they will base what they buy by how the card(s) preform-too hot, too expensive-power hungry-lousy tech support. word of mouth will make you or break you so shape up and fix the card, cooling, bundle and your attitude. gamers have complained about all items mentioned when someone ask so ASUS STEP UP! Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
I believe ASUS should do away with one of the DVI ports and replace it with an HDMI output with hi-def video and 7.1 hi-def audio (DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby True HD), along with adding a LIFETIME WARRANTY to all of their cards. I would never buy a different brand again!!!

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
In my opinion, what I would like to see in the upcoming Asus video cards is the ability to customize their cards appearance. For a premium over the card's price, Asus would offer the customer the option of customizing the card's entire appearance. And that would include choosing the PCB colour, the DVI/HDMI/VGA connectors colour and also fully editing the stickers colours and motifs, always retaining the Asus logo and the reference to the card model, obviously.
That would make Asus cards not only superb in terms of performance but also visually different, turning each card into a trully unique piece. Because there's no doubt that Asus video cards are technologically very good but if this type of customization was offered, in a market where appearance has been gaining a lot of importance to buyers, I have no doubt that Asus would become the leading seller in both Nvidia and ATI video cards. |
