I would like to see an external PCI Express graphics card!! cooling problem and space problem can be solved easily if they make the graphics card external!!

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
i think i should encapsulate all my ideas:=
1.if they make a perforated circuit board, then it will help in lowering of heat!!! 2.the graphics card processing power should also contribute in the overall system processing!! 3.graphics card memory can be used for system purposes when it is not in use for gaming!! 4.I would like to see an external PCI Express graphics card!! cooling problem and space problem can be solved easily if they make the graphics card external!! Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
More suggestions:
1. beat Intel/AMD to the punch and put a CPU on a graphics card ![]() ![]() 2. Have an extension cord kinda like an IDE cord... but for a PCI Express slot... so that you can take the graphics card out of the case and cool it better! 3. Have memory on the graphics card that acts as an extra hard drive so that u can install your favorite game onto that hard drive and reduce latency!! 4. Same as 3... except don't put memory on the graphics card but have a USB port so the game can be on the USB! Cheers |

And more....
have the usb port but use it so we can flash drivers or the bios onto the graphics card |

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
I believe ASUS should be able to implement more RAM available to video cards as its use throught the computer is becoming much more widespread. Also much more energy efficiency should be available within cards so that the need for huge cooling fans is overcome, thus allowing cards to possibly go back to their origional single slot confoguration. If the cards were much more efficiencent and the heat produced was kept to a minimum it would increase the ability to keep high stable overclocks further increasing ASUS cards predominance in the field. But if high stable overclocks were possible we would need so easy to use, but adavnced, program that could let us overclock included with the card drivers or utilities.
I belive this would make ASUS cards even further above the resst than they already currently are. Anerky. |

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
Hi
Try to get the better of nano technology. It will help to deliver earth-shattering performance at low cost. Why don't u guys directly go to 20nm or 15nm architecture? May take time, but it will eventually bear fruit. Also try to bring in technologies that prevent bottle necking. A time should come when games are almost fully graphic card dependent, regardless of the cpu. |

I would like to see better ways to change graphic cards in laptops or a new kind of motherboards to accomplish this objetive. Or an ASUS ® external graphic card device to fulfill our needs.

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
I'll add this feedback for free. Video card improvements:
1) Trim the PCB by about 6mm on the end. If that's impossible due to components, at least round the corners of the PCB. 2) Include backplates on all future models. Many of us gamers have windows in the sides of our cases. Due to the cards being mounted upside down, as they are, they are visually unappealing, boring, or even worse; nothing but exposed PCB. You guys spend too much time branding your reference coolers up, just to hide it when the cards are upside down. 3) Improve the cooling-- Air. The first thing you should be doing when a brand spanking new series of cards hits your labs is trying to make it more efficient. Do more than slap your logo on it. Make it a noteworthy performer. For now though, kill that horrible single-fan reference cooler design on the current crop of 200-series cards. Work with Scythe or Noctua for a multi-fan design; a little more air flow, a lot less noise. 4) Improve the cooling-- Liquid. The current 200-series are all double-slot cards. If that remains true in the future, use that extra cooler space to your advantage. A) Full coverage blocks. B) Split the barbs to opposite ends of the block-- not right next to each other. This ensures the heated liquid does not warm up the block next to the cool liquid. Put more distance between them. 5) LED backlighting. Nothing flashy, just a subtle glow. Preferably slo-pulse white. 6) Include driver update and rollback from within the next version of Asus MATRIX. |

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
This may sound odd but bare with me...
Since most of us have a transparent side panel on our cases, we can see the Graphics card among other things. How about GPU usage / temperature indicators right on the top of the card (the part facing outwards once it's installed) I imagine them as horizontal bars that fill up with green color as usage / temp goes higher but the closer you get to the edge the closer to red the color becomes (green -> Yellow -> Orange -> Red) Might be silly but I think that'll be very cool and useful too. Cheers. |

I would like to see more elaborate cooling on Asus cards along with more non reference designs that are shorter than the reference ones...

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
> For high end enthusiasts cards, offering extreme-oc edition is a gd way of promoting the company and also the card, an extreme-oc card that is on the top of the charts of the review sites is definitely an eye-catching 'feature'
. Btw, offering side feature like i mentioned below in mid and mid-high end card is also gd. Enthusiasts are usually not picky about the price, but sometimes the bundling, do sth with the bundling is also a gd choice.> For mid and mid-high end cards, develop an asus-card-only oc program with gd oc features and ability to record oc history, thus leading to the possibility of offering an oc warranty plan, like 6 months of full warranty and x months of limited warranty afterward for cards that's oced under safe limit stated for the card while maintaining a competitive price comparing to factory oc'ed version of the cards. Moderate risk for both Asus and gamers group(that's usually ocing these mid-high end cards alot), but there's also more gain for both sides, Asus can show their confidence in offering high quality cards and service, and also care for their valuable customers, double win tactic ^^. > For low-end budget cards, either reduce cost or hving better bundling is still more realistic than offer extra features which mean costs ><, after all it's low-end budget cards .> Hmm, bundle brilliant-designed blink blink stickers with all the cards, personally i like blink blink sticker on my casing or wherever, to show-off xD. |

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
I would like to see a Network Media Player (like Squeezebox,Sonos,Streamium), with its experience in the Xonar Sound Cards would be nice to see that. With a good set of DAC, Decoder, coaxial digital audio connector and power supply to ensure a good sound, and maybe a drive reader CD / DVD*, it would be an excellent product.(of course, if it wasn't a HUGE device and it didn't sin in the appearance
)*ops i think the question was "What future features would you like to see on forthcoming Asus products?" xD, sorry guys*

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
ASUS should include PCIx16 extension cables for the actual x16 bus (They do exist) so that users can come up with creative ways to place the graphics card. This can also help free up some SATA ports (2 of mine are blocked because of my card), and people with smaller cases won't have to rearrange their hard drive cages to get full length video cards to fit in. With enough cord length on the 6- and 8-pin power cables, you could probably put your video card outside your case granted the x16 bus extender is long enough.

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
more games coming with a card
A backup memory for the bios ( in case anything happens while doing a bios flash) better cooler ( at least i would like to see heatsinks at the memory modules on midrange cards) |

Re : Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
40nm GPUs, ATI did great job with that as seen on the HD4770 O_o
Other than that... Nothing special to add in my opinion, maybe a backplate could be very stylish =D and some LEDs just for the fun ;] All in all, nowaday's graphic cards are already darn good =] |

Re: Win an ASUS GTX275 Graphics card @ Driverheaven!
I would like to see on the ASUS graphics cards, on the back of the PCB, a row of 10 SMD LEDs that have colors from green to red and show the percent of GPU load in 3D applications, in 10% increments.

To add to my earlier entry, I'd love to see an all in one solution (TV capture on board, excellent VIVO, and a All in one cooling solution, similar to the Domino ALC, to really make the product silent, and Cool.

the main should be the video memory it should be very high.and the cooling system they should be excellent.because most people buy products which have more memory so thts what should be done in upcoming products.and for people who knows about the field to satisfy them there should be great pixel shading technolgy.

The feature I would love to see in future ASUS cards? HDMI Video input.
Seriously, making a 2 way HDMI port would not only enable things like Cable/Satalite HDTV to be connected to PC, but would allow for playback & capture of the current (And future) gen HD consoles, which would open almost limitless possibilities in a web 2.0 world.
