I am currently running a box with a decent dual core processor, acceptable ram, good psu... and a totally crap graphics card, I can watch films in OK quality but I cant game at all. It's really annoying when my friends can all play games with great graphics but I can't so i just feel left out. I would buy a more acceptable graphics card but I wouldn't have the money to buy one for a long time.
Asus should or rather would find it more useful give me this card so I can play games with ease. The card would also aid my CAD for my art GCSE.

Why should I be entitled to this graphics card?

ASUS is the most dependable manufacturer that I have ever used. Over the years I have built many computers, used several different manufacturers and repaired many computers. I'm an IT Technician, it's what I do for a living. ASUS is now my number 1 for motherboards.
If anyone wants a dependable, long-lasting, well-performing motherboard and are willing to spend a few extra pennies for the quality, I'll go straight to ASUS every time. To be completely honest, if price is coming first on someone's list, I'll use Gigabyte but not without suggesting against it. Looking at benchmarks is no. 2 on my motherboard deciding factors, after I've decided which ASUS one to go for.
Motherboards I'll go for without second-guessing when it comes to ASUS. Graphics cards, unfortunately, I've yet to use ASUS with because I've been an ATI fan for years and Sapphire was at the top of my favourites list. Next on my line of graphics cards I'll quite happily go for Nvidia and the 260 is right up there on my list of cards. If AUS has made it, I'll be confident in its stability and performance.
I'm not a complete ASUS nut; I won't make a PC out of 100% ASUS parts because, well, I like Thermaltake & Coolermaster cases, ASUS don't make processors, RAM or hard drives, I already have optical drives and I'm a Logitech fan (mouse & Keyboard).

Back to the question directly; why do I want such a card? My admiration of ASUS dependability; I'll be confident that ASUS won't give me driver errors, the hardware will be stable (and well looked after) and the performance will be grand.

I have a rather sad story to tell but is the truth I have papers to prove it.
I had a custom built cpu with the asus p5nsli motherboard intel 2.13 processor(lga 775) somewhere along those lines water cooled tower etc. and it was stolen by my gf.I was living with her with an order of protection because we made up and she said that she was sorry for what she did to me.We have 2 children ages 4 and 2 im 25 btw together so i decided to give her another chance.Well anyways this worked out for about 6 months i moved in with her and paid the phone bill for the internet connection through verizon dsl.We had an argument about some dude calling her house and she in return had me arrested for violating the order of protection.She told the police that i just showed up outa the blue and beat her...I went to jail for 2 months for this and now am on 3 years probation for it.Im out due to her lies and my phone records with her address because the phone was in my name lucky me and she never backed up what she said about the beating she was just buttering up the incident to make it look good for the police she never went to the hospital or anywaything she told the police that i trashed her house and stuff well child protection got involved so while i was in jail the condition of the house had gotten worse so go figure did i really trash the house or is this a blatant lie?I lost all my clothes and my new computer that i just bought off of ebay.
Now ive been out for 3 months and i work at family dollar so money is tight right now and im trying to biuld a new computer and ive always been a fan of the asus products as my new motherboard is gonna be an asus way crossfire/sli guess it depends on my graphics card. Havent decided yet and an amd processor.Ive made several attempts to try and get the computer and with failed resusults even though i know where the computer is i cannot get it Ive taken the people to civil small claims court for it however my custom build computer receipt does not have a serial number so i cannot verify that it was mine even though my fingarprints are in it and i can name the parts installed into it.Sometimes the legal system is just not on your side apparently your guility until proven innocent.spent 2 months in jail to prove that i didnt burglurize my own house...And losing my small claims due to what i consider stupid stuff.
So in conclusion with my run of bad luck and losing my gamming pc that I believe that I deserve a break and another great asus product for my new gamming pc.If I don't win oh well its part of life.Good luck to all and Happy gaming.

I am currently in my second last year of highschool studying chemistry, physics, mathematics B, mathematics C, English and graphics. I plan to be an electrical and computer systems engineer , my current system only has onboard video as i do not have the funds to upgrade. I would be honoured If I could use this card for testing and be able to get some hands on experience to learn more about graphics processing technology, checking out the electrical components of the heatsink and fans would also be cool. I reckon I could also try folding, it looks pretty cool and I reckon it would be great to help others using my hardware, but at the moment folding would be pretty pathetic on my DELL.

Why do I think Asus and DH should give me this 260GTX?

I'm a student at high school, so my budget is pretty low. There are several things I would like to do if I recieved this card. The first of these is create 2nd rig; a cool, quiet, energy efficient multi GPU gaming rig. It would be a PhysX set up, with the 260 being the main GPU and a 9600 being the dedicated PhysX card. I have the money to purchase some of the parts, but it would help a lot if I had one less part to purchase.

My second reason is closely linked with the first. With this second rig, it would allow me to have LAN matches with my current rig playing games such as ArmA 2, the Total War series and other intensive games.

Another reason I'm building this system is to overclock to high performance levels, rather then purchasing expensive parts. I would be purchasing an Asus SLI motherboard, as my current motherboard (MSI P45 Neo-F) does not allow me to unlink the RAM, and does not allow me to overclock very well. I hope to gain similar performance levels on this rig as with my current rig.

Finally, I fold@home to help find cures for serious illnesses. With a second rig with a 260GTX onboard, it will help in the long run to produce cures for these diseases as well as using the potential of the 260GTX while the computer is idle.

I hope you take these into consideration.

I have an i7 920 with 6gb of decent ram and a 4850 gpu.
My baby performs pretty good by comparison and I'm ok with it for the most part. Its just that even still I have this abysmal pit in my stomach that i cant play my games with max settings and im always having to tweak stuff to get the best graphics / performance ratio. then if someone is watching me play I hate when the action gets tense and the framerate drops but my machine is supposed to be OHHh soo fast lol (-_-*)

I want to experience the best and show off the best and Im limited by 1 factor ... A GPU

Why? I already have a Zotac GTX 260. Yes. But, I want to sell my old PSU, CPU, and GPU and get this along with a decent dual core(+ mobo?) and perhaps a modular PSU.
Now know this - I am obsessed with computers and cooling them. I wanted to get a cooler for my GPU but I don't have the money - I don't have a job so I can't upgrade my components. I could potentially solve that issue that's annoying me in the back of my head :P

Asus should give this card to me because I believe it would future-proof my system for at least the next 2 years, it's quiet when it needs to be and powerful when gaming. Plus it looks like some piece of retro steampunk architecture.

Asus should give me this card because im finally done upgrading everything on my computer except my GPU, i now have 8GB of DDR2 1066 that i was lucky to find for such a low price, and my Q9550 is sitting rock-solid at 3.4GHz.....

still plenty life in this old ROG system yet..... with this card, i will dominate Crysis and all my other games with my system finally maxed out after all these years

I hope I get this nice card. I'm a big fan of Asus products; especially their R.O.G series motherboards. I lately upgraded to a Rampage II Extreme (I had a crosshair before) but I unfortunately fried my graphics card; so if I win this one it will be really COOL.
It would also be very nice to have the R.O.G logo on my graphics card too. It would look real awesome.
