If I take the Asus 260GTX and power it, by burning my 3 wolf moon shirt, I should be able to render a 10 second video of a perfectly Rendered and mathematically accurate Chuck Norris Roundhouse Kick. I can then Insert this into an original Mortal Kombat Sega Cartridge. thus I will have access to "The Bearded One" all his moves are Fatalities. The moment the match begins the announcer does not say "Fight" he says "Finish Him" It will be an amazing experience! But I cannot complete this project without the 260GTX Matrix

Hello Im new to this site. I am an avid gamer or used to be till I had my accicent. I was a victim of a home invasion on the 16th of july in bradenton florida, I was shot my dogs ran away and my best friend left me there to die. I lost everything. My dog ran away all my electronics were stole-PS3, gaming computer, 42" lcd flat screen all my money and all my dignity. I am living at different friends houses till i get money from victims of violent crimes. I would love to get this video card to rebuild me a new a better gaming pc. My name is Christian Rogers and it happened on the 16th of Aug, I have a folder of police reports to prove all this happened. My dog did return a week and a half later all brusied and battered but at least she is back. Only piece of elctronics i own now is an I phone. However, that's not the sole reason why Asus should give me the card because in the downtime(weekends) I'd definitely be fragging it up in fps games paired with my Asus Xonar soundcard; it would be sweet bliss.

Let me begin this essay by saying that I am likely not the most unfortunate case you will run across in your search for the most worthy recipient of the Asus ENGTX260 Matrix. I do not have a terminal illness, I do not live in a poor country, and I’m not a starving African child from one of those oft-played guilt-o-mercials. However, I am a less-than-affluent college student with a passion for games, and it is my hope that through my modest prose and my tenacity of spirit I can persuade you to at least consider me for this contest

My life as a gamer started at an early age. The first computer our family owned was an aging, dispositioned 386 that my mother salvaged from her workplace. I can recall rushing home from school to play such titles as “Oregon Trail” and “Lemonade Stand” on into the wee hour of 9:00pm. My passion for computer games only strengthened through the ages with such classics as: “Doom”, “Day of the Tentacle”, “Space Quest”, “X-Wing”, and countless others. By the time I had progressed to games like “Half Life”, I had made the decision that I wanted computer games to be a permanent part of my life. I’m currently a senior majoring in computer science with a custom concentration in software engineering/game design, and still my love for games has not waned. However, my family can hardly be considered wealthy, and thus going to college has involved many sacrifices.

My current “gaming rig” is nearing its seventh year of operation, and though it had competed valiantly through the Sims and Warcraft games, it was already showing strain on titles like “Half Life 2” and “Doom 3”. By 2006 the list of new titles my machine could manage was growing thin. Unfortunately, college expenses forced me to delay any hope of upgrades for several years. However, things have begun to look promising again with paid internships and plasma centers aplenty. For the past few months I have been rigorously planning a new build and trying to save my meager pennies to bring my plan to realization, but times are tough, and donating plasma takes its toll.

Being awarded this Asus GTX 260 would help me to complete my build and possibly save me some pain (both figuratively and literally). So please, Asus and DriverHeaven, keep me in your consideration for this prize. I promise I will repay the gaming world by helping to create better, more entertaining, and more original games throughout my future in the industry.

I feel that the Asus 260GTX Matrix would be best in my hands. Why? I need it for reliable computing power so i can donate more of my spare computer power to standfords Folding@home.

I currently fold on on an 8800 gts while its decent card and gets about 3500-5000 ppd, it sometimes gets too hot and shuts it self off giving me a BSOD. this creates an issue when it happens at night or while I'm away traveling. Wasting hours and days of time when it could be folding. With the Asus 260GTX Matrix i would get about 7500 to 9000 ppd and with the dual cooling fans i would not have to worry about it overheating and crashing my system allowing me to let it run worry free for days on end. now some of you may think folding is a waste but to me its very important. My mother is currently suffering from Alzheimer's which is a protein based disease with no cure at the moment but it makes me feel better knowing the my computing power is helping scientist understand what is happening with protein folds and misfolds and therefore helping them come up with ways to prevent and possibly cure diseases such as Alzheimers.

I feel i should be given the card because you guys at driverheaven.net and Asus can be rest assured your Asus 260GTX Matrix will not be wasted and will be used for a good cause.
