Because I've been using Asus products for years from dvd-writers to video cards and motherboards. I am currently using an Asus Maximus II Gene, and it would be very useful to have a video card with the same Republic of Gamers extreme qualities.

I think ASUS should give the card to the guy (ToHellAndBack) who is going through cancer remission on the first page of this thread, because he needs all the good news he can get.

Plus he will get a lot of use out of it will the time he must spend recovering. He would also have time to tell lots of his friends about his card for some great word of mouth advertisement.

In the event this card was given to me instead I would try to find out this person is and send it to him.

I have my own business building, repairing, installing, PCs. I also do consulting and software training. I have been exclusively using the ASUS M3N78-EM for the last few builds. It and the M3A78-EM are one of the few MATX boards that have all solid capacitors and all the features I need at a decent price.

I have a plenty powerful card (8800 GT 512 MB) for the games i play. So that guy should get it, unless of course he just made up the story so he could win some sympathy

Asus should give me this card for one very simple reason, my PC needs more ingenious Asus products in it. Nuff said!

Side note: also because the card has an amazing design, is backed by a great company with great customer support ( I know from experience) and also because who doesn't want a video card with that much raw power????

I want this simply because I want it.

I mean, I have an asus 9600GT right now, and it's scaling well, especially with overclocking. 700/1800/1100 seem to be my max so far. Further lower level tweaking might prove more mhz.
I've got myself an Asus M2N32-SLi Deluxe. S'good board, although a bit old, I know. :P

Either way, it would go well in my system!

Athlon 7750 Black Edition @ 3Ghz
4Gb DDR2 800 Fatal1ty
and two nice fat hard drives.

I would imagine that, there being NINE pages of replies here, my chances are slim to none, and with the advent that cancer boy over there is really dying of cancer (Which is doubtful), we all have pretty slim chances.

But hey, really, I want this.
If not, I mean, I'm not exactly in dire straights, though. 96GT is a good card.
But still.

nVidia's 200 series line up has been excellent, repeatedly blowing ATi out of the water.
I would go as far as to say that the 200 series is to ATi what Core 2 was to AMD.
Plus, I know a good chunk about the hardware aspects of this card and what it all means.

ANYWAYS, I digress.
I want this card.
I would be honored to win it.

ASUS & DriverHeaven should give me the ASUS branded Nvidia 260GTX because i have had 3 ATI HD4870's from various manufacturers and i am slowly losing faith in life. Not only do i need to experience the Nvidia effect first hand in my own machine, but perhaps more importantly because i've now been through 3 ASUS Mobo's and can sleep at night knowing that one of you're cards would be a capable friend for my 120hz ASUS LCD (VG242H i beleive) that you recently showcased at Computex2009 - it's already on the christmas wishlist.

I know thou has done thy wrong by going to other manufacturers (those sneaky sapphire and xfx guys), but perhaps you could once again show me the light by giving me this fantastic prize (and a release date on your monitor pleaseeeeeeeee)! I would forever be a fanboy and quite willing to make an numpty of myself by painting ASUS and DH all over my face in a picture of myself and the card to say thankyou.

I think that if someone gave me a card like this one from ASUS, I might actually have a reason to buy new games, and play them. I might actually have something to talk about on forums like this one, besides complaining about the graphics controller integrated into my motherboard. I might actually have something to look forward to during my day at work... seriously beautiful anti-aliased and high-resolution games, with all the eye-candy enabled, powered by ASUS! The name ASUS would be on my lips, as I recounted my exploits to my co-workers, extolling its graphical prowess, and praising its innovative power-saving design. I'd tell them about its cutting edge cooling system.

It would be awesome! But it will only be possible if ASUS picks me to win the 260GTX card.

He slowly caressed the glossy heatsink and the powerful but quiet cooling fans. This card was definitely made for some serious graphics delight. It was surreal. He'd dreamed of such a moment, when he'd have a card like this in his arms; yearned to have such power at his command. Now, the dream was reality.

He quickly read the installation instructions, and plugged the card into its designated slot in the computer. He connected the power supply and video connectors. Now, the real fun could begin!

Hours later, he lay back on his couch. His eyes half-closed, as he remembered each beautifully rendered scene. This was what gaming was meant to be! The ASUS 260GTX had handled every game he'd been able to throw at it. He now knew that he was lost. There would be no going back to plain and boring, or slow and jittery graphics.

Alright. I need to win this ASUS card because i broke my friends customized computer the around a week ago while i was wrestling with his little brother. I now owe him around 700 bucks worth of stuff, including the graphics card. If i dont get him a new graphics card and the rest of the stuff by next month he will as he clearly said "Ill make you shit bricks" with alot more swearing and screaming. I only have a spare 100 dollars my parents gave me for my birthday. I really need this graphics card, its an emergency. i really dont feel like shitting bricks.

2nd good reason i'd love to win this because i'm so found of the ROG logo and universe (i'm so crazy that i've created a custom animated bios logo...)
I love it so much that i've modded my PC following ROG color patterns, i've also created a desktop theme

and the only missing element to complete this mod is a decent ROG Graphic card and this one is just so stylish!!! and yeah my old 8800GT does'nt fit anymore in my config... Q9550, Maximus 2 formula, 4go corsair dominator, ocz vertex 60 GO in a Antec P182 painted in mat black

and red led fan!

I need to win this ASUS card because i broke my friends customized computer the around a week ago while i was wrestling with his little brother. I now owe him around 700 bucks worth of stuff, including the graphics card. If i dont get him a new graphics card and the rest of the stuff by next month he will as he clearly said "Ill make you shit bricks" with alot more swearing and screaming. I only have a spare 100 dollars my parents gave me for my birthday. I really need this graphics card, its an emergency. i really dont feel like shitting bricks.

To this day it still impresses me how great their hardware and range has become, all at very decent prices. They are unbeaten on value! there. of course, this is all true too.

(i swear i can give a proof!!!) 2nd good reason i'd love to win this because i'm so found of the ROG logo and universe (i'm so crazy that i've created a custom animated bios logo...) I love it so much that i've modded my PC following ROG color patterns, i've also created a desktop theme and the only missing element to complete this mod is a decent ROG Graphic card and this one is just so stylish!!! and yeah my old 8800GT does'nt fit anymore in my config... Q9550, Maximus 2 formula, 4go corsair dominator, ocz vertex 60 GO in a Antec P182 painted in mat black and red led fan! Long life to asus ROG! good luck to all of you guys
