Re: Win a Silverstone Raven RV02 and 600W PSU!
Silverstone have opted for a rotated motherboard mounting system with air being forced from the bottom of the case to the exhaust panels at the top.

by positioning the motherboard at a 90 degree angle, which in turn allows the physics of nature to take their course in a beneficial manner with the stack effect.

Re: Win a Silverstone Raven RV02 and 600W PSU!
With the air being forced upwards and the components with their exhausts facing the top of the case the chassis takes advantage of a natural phenomenon known as the stack effect.

the hot air climbing upwards through the case, pressure is reduced in the lower part of the machine, encouraging cool air to flow in through the vents mounted at the bottom of the chassis.

Re: Win a Silverstone Raven RV02 and 600W PSU!
The air flows from the bottom to the top. To eliminate the common "heat travels upwards, and is stored in top of the case", the Raven RV02 let the heat travel upwards, and out of the case through the fans!

Re: Win a Silverstone Raven RV02 and 600W PSU!
The air flows from the bottom to the top. The intake vents on the bottom suck in fresh air, and the exhaust blows it out the top.
Hot damn is it a sweet case. |

The air flows from bottom to top rotating the motherboard, power supply unit and hard drive.
I want a Silvertone Raven RV02 so bad. |

Re: Win a Silverstone Raven RV02 and 600W PSU!
Bottom mounted fans are pushing a considerable amount of cold air directly upwards. Another fan works in unison to move warm air from the front mounted hard drive bays.

Re: Win a Silverstone Raven RV02 and 600W PSU!
Debemos pensar en dos cosas complementarias: a) sacar el aire caliente b) meter aire frío. the heat produced from the pc will go out in "hot air" and we must repel the hot air by introduceing cold air, so it wil go out of the chasis, we must create a perfect air flow with cold air so it can expel hot air! (hope u know how to speak spanish! it is a better expanation! in spansih!) sorry cant speak perfect englis

Definitely not how it is shown above, lol.
I think 260 replies of 'bottom to top' would help you get this one right.

Re: Win a Silverstone Raven RV02 and 600W PSU!
The airflow is: "in" at the 135 mm fan & "out" thru the grill of the PSU at the back of the PC.

Re: Win a Silverstone Raven RV02 and 600W PSU!
Cool air sucked in through three large fans mounted at the base of the case, assisted by the theory of "heat rises" and then exits passively through top mounted grills.
In my situation, replace "cool air" with carpet...thats all those fans would chew in MY room
