Indeed! Particularly given the wide range of systems... there's everything from Athlon X2 to Core 2 quad, and of course the full range of popular gaming resolutions (starting at my lowly 1440*900

EDIT: Damn Crysis 2 demo ended before I could test it on the new card. Grrr!

well so far its all been pretty good i submitted the second part today so hopefully that will be up later

as far as things go i think that this is a brilliant idea and a lot of fun although the wife is now complaining that i am once again spending to much time with the PC (hasn't been this bad since the wireplay days)

anyway i hope some of you enjoy the blogs

I live in Serbia, the card is here, but DHL is struggling with the customs so I had to write a statement about how and why the package was sent to me etc and get an additional email from Veridian3 "to establish a connection between me and the sender". Those guys can be a pain in the butt.

Its ok i hadnt planned it that way either but because i missed the first delivery i thought i would be playing catchup with everyone else (like i said my son takes up huge amounts of daytime so i do this when i have the chance)

i also remember the email said blog a few times a week but only managed to get as far as opening the bag on the first day so again i was thinking im behind everyone

yesterday i did submit the second one but i hope Craig will hang back posting it a few days for the others get their stuff as well

I am about 3/4 through the third one

If my deal goes through .... there is a chance i'll have 3 of the 6850's in crossfire later this weekend.

Not three of these very same 6850s, I hope :P

I'd be very interested to see any results you get with those, both in terms of power consumption and performance, tested against a 6990 or 6970CF.

6850 only has one connector for Crossfire doesnt it?

I was under the impression that AMD didn't impose restrictions on >2 mid range cards and even mixed combos, hence Judas's 5770 setup?

5770s had 2 connectors each.
