I successfully put my gear into the new case today.

Putting everything together was easy, but for the hard drives I was slightly lost as it took me a while to work out that the drives screw into the mounts with holes at the base of the drives.

The cooling system is good, (GPU 35'C idle). The floor mounted PSU probably makes the most difference. There is good airflow even when the fans are running on low speed, and even increasing the speed doesn't make the fan audible over my 103SJ HDD or the traffic running past outside.

I like how the case allows you to tuck the wires so its not just a big mess.

Its sure is a good looking case imo.... Just out of curiosity is it better than the case you were previously using.. ? (i take it were an atx case previously)

A little offtopic and im not taking your limelight from you... I recently got a system of the HH admins...Everything came in a Corsair Obsidian 700D and there is more than enough room in this case to run a server from... See

But its good to see it were delivered in very good time..So it shows there are some good admins behind HH...

Much better than the case I was previously using! I was using a case from my sisters old Compaq Presario when Pentium D was out. I used that for a while until I upgraded the bits inside as economically as possible for a gaming rig and a little bit of eco with the energy efficient PSU. Wires were running everywhere, there wasn't much area for heat to get out.

This case has much more room, 3 fans (roof,back and front), and room for another 3 (roof,base and side) and space for you to work around, and yes it would probably house a server fine. Loosing a screw in a small space like the old case was always a nuisance. I now appreciate that its worth having a good case.

I think the next bit of kit on my list is a CPU cooler, it would be great to have one I could put on a new set up in a few years time.
