I don't but recently, I've been looking at shuttles to buy... I mean, they are tiny, quite and seem perfect for home cinema system thingy.
Your a lucky guy zardon ! I'd do anything for a small SFF system like yours! (and damn 4.2GHZ? but does't it get too hot?)

there are a few matching themes around but i always end up with classic as I have to start excluding apps like photoshop as it always causes some interface issue.......

You lucky guy you
![]() I have a shuttle PC, but it isn't NEARLY as great as yours.. Pentium 4 2.7 GHz 512 ram PC2700 80 GB hard drive (with a 120 GB external) Radeon 9600SE (i really gotta do something about that card) 160 watt power supply 1 DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drive But it's not like I play brand new games with it or anything.. pretty much just Counter Strike, so it's not in a need for an update for that

I adore my ST20G5. I don't regret getting it over the SN25P, although that one was a great choice as well. It's currently holding:
AMD 64 3000+ @ Stock (No OC yet) 1 GB Corsair PC3200 Seagate 120 GB Using Xpress 200 My sole purpose of it was to give a PC to my sister while having room for expandability. The onboard stuff is great, even the audio to my surprise. Rock-solid from the get go (after the necessary BIOS update though). I can even put my desktop's 7800GT in there for instant LAN Gaming-box!My plans for it include overclocking and throwing in a next generation R520 or R580 based AIW card for multi-media purposes. I may pick up an X2 3800+ for it when they drop down further in price. (Got 2, so why not one more? )

I love my SD31P. I'm convinced I'm one of a VERY select few who own one at the moment.
At 470 USD - its not a cheap barebones system, but coupled with an Intel 820, 6600GT, Corsair DDR2 and some RAID luv from Seagate...this little bugger is quite the power house. ...and its only my media/gaming machine. Now if ONLY I could figure out how to cool the GFX card better...... |

put together for my fiancee a shuttle a while back.
2. (might be 4, maybe 8?) celeron, 512mb pc3200, 160G HDD, 9600Pro. It does the job. Like Z, I was dead impressed with the heatpipe stuff Shuttle have going on, it's kinda cool, although getting to the cpu is a tad trickier. Also got an IWill that I use as an mp3 server. My god that thing is small. Had to pull out the mobo to fit a new retention bracket, it was like the Crystal Maze or something. Jiggle it a bit this way, angle it that way............ No agp, but enough room for a wireless card, a huge hdd, dvd drive, and (apparantly) up to 3.2G P4. Thought this forum would be a bit better occupied than it seems to be, I'd kinda got the impression that lots of you had sff. |

sounds like a nice rig, and I wouldnt take the "3.2ghz" p4 rating as gospel, ive found they can take much more

great for size, plays most things pretty well, but lack of expansion is a sticking point for an old skinflint like me. can't get a dvd drive with a matching front either......... |

you should mount it in the glove box and run the cabling internally so it looks like a professional job.
I've even seen dashes cut out and the optical drive mounted remotely so you can put the disc in without touching the box itself

BTW, I think Shuttle minis usually come with mobos installed. You just need to add HD, bare CPU (they come with a cooling solution), memory & optical drive. rasta

Rasta's right about Shuttle's barebone kits. The one he's recommended is also a solid Shuttle.
