Hello everyone. I'm new to this KX Driver, but having a good time to achieve it's better audio recording latency. However, I noticed the Soundfont & internal soft synth sounds so weak. I use SONAR 2.2 XL to do both MIDI & Audio work. All my previous data was recorded with original Microsoft driver. After I take a leap to install the new driver (3528) I realize that every MIDI (Soundfont) being played lower than when I use the Microsoft driver. Kinda like unbalance with the audio I used to get before. I then download the 3529 (Newest) and try if it solves the problem, but it still doesn't. Does anybody know how to raise the volume of the Synth with KX Driver ? I did turn the Synth volume in the KX Mixer as loud as posible, but it doesn't help. I'm not familiar yet with the KX router or KX DSP, so please be patient explaining to me. Any hint and clue will be very appreciated. Many thank's folks !!!

I notice this also. My midi tracks are waaay quieter than my audio tracks in Nuendo/Cubasesx.
I am using v3531 drivers. sb0060 I tried to lower the 'Wave/PCM' slider in kx mixer, to balance wav with midi better, however this slider has no effect on Cubase/Nuendo audio ! Why is this so ? How can i make my midi much louder ? cya. |

you can add 'gain' effect between fxbus 2,3 and the xrouter

Thanks Eugene for the good idea. That let me make the midi a little louder. I also added gain control between fxbus 4,5 and xrouter(fL_In,fR_In) so i can reduce 'audio' track volume.
Let me ask you.. Why won't the kx 'wav/pcm' slider control the volume of 'audio' tracks in cubasesx/nuendo ? Is this a bug , or does it have something to do with ASIO? Also there seems to be a bug with 'gainx' . when I turn the knob, then close kxdsp, then open and look, the knob is back to center.!? Is the only difference between 'gain' and 'gainx' the user interface? or is one supposed to be better. thanks cya. s3n71nel. |

'wave/pcm' doesn't control ASIO simply because ASIO is not routed via DirectX/Windows mixer
gainx: well, I don't see any 'gainx' there gainHQ, probably? it works fine here/Eugene |

hmm no gainx, well maybe that got added a while ago when i installed the gui for the effects. (ufxsetup.31.exe). But i thought those would be gone since i recently installed new drivers (v3532).
I see gainx at 'AddEffect/Plugin' > below Delay and above Mono Vocoder. I'll just use the regular gain. cya. |

gainx seems to be bundled with the UFX package -- so, address your bug report to its author, Max M.
