Thumbs Up! Using a MIDI controller keyboard

I have version 3529 of the kX drivers installed, Windows XP Pro (SP1) and an SB Live! card with the separate panel for MIDI in and out. I'm attempting to use my MIDI keyboard (an old Roland U20) for MIDI input into Propellerhead's Reason software. I just cannot get it to work! As far as I can tell, Reason is not receiving any MIDI input. I've tried the MIDI-0X utility but that didn't appear to be receiving any MIDI input either.

If I reinstall the Creative drivers everything works but I have a large (400-500ms) latency when controlling Reason, which is unusable.

Can anyone tell me what settings are required to be able to use the external MIDI keyboard?

Thanks,

Neil W. Garside

[Update] Problem solved. I updated to version 3530 and the problem has gone away - the MIDI keyboard now functions perfectly as a controller for Reason's instruments, with no noticeable latency!
