KX 3530 Adv.SF and AweVBank98

I use AweVBank98 and the newest KX-Drivers, which now supports "Advanced SoundFont control"
But still not everything is working fine.
I can only manage to load sf-files with AweVBank. These sounds can then be played by my sequenzer program (emagic Logic).
But when I try to load simple wav-files in a Virtual-Soundbank with AweVBank98, they can't be played by the sequenzer.

These things work fine with (of corse) the normal Creative SBLive-Driver and the APS v1.84-Drivers (under Win98 and only for Bank "0")

Will this be fixed in the future, because I can't find it in the todo list...

Soundfont editing through is still limited. Search the forum. I've read that it's going to be improved in the future.

AweVBank 98

Gunnar, can you please mail me the AweVBank 98 Setup file
(or even the compressed folder of the already installed program)
I can not find it anywhere in the net.
Megota got their site down and all the links from the shareware sites point to that ...

I've tried to mail you the program but my mail server hangs up. I get an error message back. I think that it's because of the "large" filesize of 3MB

So I've uploaded it to my website:
AweVBank98 v2.5.3.0
So anyone can try out this BEST program for managing soundfonts and other samples!!!

Of course it's shareware. And please don't ask me for the registration code.

By the way:

Wouldn't it be nice if Megota will update this program?
Perhaps someone can manage to contact the author...

another idea: Perhaps it's possible to develop the KX-Soundfont Manager to nearly the same program!!!

AWE V Bank - No further updates!

Hi Gunnar, Embryo, Daniel and all other AWE V Bank Users!

The author of AWE V Bank is Markus Eisenstöck from Innsbruck, Austria. Since I am from the same city I happen to know that he has abandoned the AWE V Project long time ago. Many musicians tried to persuade him to continue the work but he has no interest. And - although being a powerful tool - it is also true that AWE V Bank is somewhat anachronistic now that even low budget computers can handle alarge number of software synths. It was developped in times when processor capacity was the major issue for musicians...

However, it would be lovely, if the KX Team could implement the basic AWE V Bank features directly to the KX drivers. It is extremely handy, especially in terms of soundfont management. There is no software synth where one can surf through/ change/ listen to sounds as easily as in AWE V Bank!

So if a similar tool could be implemented (including wav-support), this would be highly appreciated by most, if not all, kx-users, I am sure.

Greetings, Michael
