MIDI Checksum errors

Hi,

I cannot send a sysex dump back to my Yamaha MU100R or Korg 05RW without errors (checksum errors).... Is this a KX related problem? I tried MidiOx, Cubase and Cakewalk to recieve and transmit but all with the same result. I also tried several ports on an audigy2 and live. Also driver versions i/j and the stable release. All without any success.

Pls help!

Well - I send midi bulk dumps to my Yamaha DB50XG card (I modded, as it was an AWE32 daughter card) frequently... but this card is also MIDI IN ONLY - so... see if disconnecting your external synths MIDI OUT (aka KX Midi In) - as a test - makes any difference.

An update: It looks like it definitly is the KX driver. I uninstalled the driver completely and installed the new Creative audigy driver package. What a mess this is. But I managed to install it and use it for 'normal purposes', like playing music. Then I retried to upload sysex bulk data with success. No more errors! It made my system unusable for all other purposes (like making music :-) but for the sake of the test it was okay. I now re-installed the KX driver and hope for a bugfix. It maybe that there is still an error in the IRQ handling code? Or maybe a buffer (round-robin) problem. Something of that kind. The weird thing is that during normal use of MIDI it all seems okay. Only sysex bulk dumps.....

Regard,
Shinco

Re: MIDI Checksum errors

Same kind of problem for me, with version 3550 (no Sysex 'Out' .. and I intended to use a patch editor for my Boss guitar multi effect..).
So bad, it's doing such a great job with audio

Unless some improvements with Sysex have been added inversion 3550 and i'm doing something wrong ?..

Thanks for any advices, news ...

Regards
