Good GM Soundfont...

I need a goodsounding GM Soundfont that work with kX...it has to be free...

Now I use a 4MB soundfont from creative...it doesn't sound very good...;)

Yes, go to www.personalcopy.com and download the Bigsoundfont or go to www.thesoundsite.net nad there you have many choices to download

Try searching for Fluid R3 - it's around 150MB and it's great.
Another good is Magic SoundFont v2.0, which is around 70MB.

i have a problem, i can't load more than ~134Mb in soundfonts i have win2k and the last realease of kxdrivers

i believe you can fill up only ~50% of your system RAM.. that would be ~196 MB in your case..

i tried with 140Mb soundfonts and it gives a error, the same soundfont works on other computer but with Win98

review our 'FAQ' and try to play with the (nonpaged)pool settings in the registry

I doubt it is theoretically possible to upload soundfonts that are bigger than 60% of the system memory

Just downloaded it, and it loads as it should...BUT, i get som kind of distorsion, especially when there is more tones playing...

I tried playing a midi file from Winamp3, but as I said, there was some kind of distorsion...

Using SBLive Platinum...

With SB Soundfont (4MB) it works greyt...
