No sound in Vienna

Hello All,

I am still in the process of transferring over from a Creative setup to a kX 3538m full setup. I am using an Audigy 2 Platinum. Everything has been going well so far, until it was time to try out Vienna. No sound! I do have soundfonts loaded by kX. MIDI files do play in other apps such as windows Media Player and Jammer Pro. i.e. the kX Mixer is operating as it should

I did a forum search for "Vienna" and read all of the posts (there were only 64 topics, so that was OK). There was nothing that could help me.

I have then uninstalled all Creative stuff, including Vienna, done a thorough registry cleanup, and then re-installed Vienna 2.4. What I am then doing is running Vienna, loading a soundfont, and using a mouse to run the finger across the virtual keyboard. With the Creative drivers, this used to get me a sound, but now, no sound!

Older posts clearly indicate that older versions of kX did support Vienna, but I was certainly under the impression that the current version, 3538m, did.

Many of the posts have suggested dumping Vienna in favour of AweVBank 98. As it seems that Megota no longer exist (for many years) and that it is now impossible to purchase this program, I would like to try it out but it cannot be found anywhere. All links just point back to Megota. In any case, did it ever read SF 2 files or was it too old?

Can anyone tell me how to get sound back into Vienna?

If I can't get it working properly, is there a valid alternative?

I do not really use it, but I can verify that I do get sound in Vienna 2.3 with kX 3538m (i.e. I can load a soundfont, choose an instrument/preset, and drag the finger across the keyboard to hear it, etc).
