Synth Brightness controller

Hi,

I am using an Audigy 2 ZS, and I always thought that lower values in the brightness controller (controller #74) will filter more and higher values will filter less. But it seems the other way round. Could someone shed some light on this?

From the kX help files 'MIDI Implementation chart' :
Code:

74 - sound brightness implemented via Filter Cutoff
0 - Filter Cutoff frequency increases (minimum effect depth)
64  - default;
127 - Filter Cutoff frequency decreases (maximum effect depth)
Which - yes - is backwards ... to me its correct now in V3538M - (its now more compatible with XG spec)
