KX Cubase 32 problems

Hi all. I am new here. After searching the web I found the KX site, downloaded and installed the program but I can't seem to get to to work. It installed and boots up fine but Cubase is having problems with it. In the midi setup Cubase will let me click on the midi in and out of KX but when I shut that window down it will default back to where it previously was. So I can't get midi info to send out out of the card. Also the main purpose I use this card (EMU APS) is for the soundfont feature. I was having clicks and pops with the drivers and interface provided with the EMU APS card so I thought I would try KX but I cannot get any soundfonts to play out of KX. They load b ut there is just no sound....

I am running a P4 with 512 ram, 1.6 gig processor, Cubase 5.1 VST 32

Any tips or clues would be most appreciated.
