Can't hear MIDI
I can use soundfonts (from a keyboard) and they sound fine, but I can't play MIDI sounds at all. I just can't hear them...even using media player.
This driving me mad Can anyone help? Have I got the settings on my soundcard / kx drivers correct? What do I have to do to hear MIDI playback again? Also, I have Cyberlink Power DVD and it just crashes with a fatal exception. I KNOW it is to do with the KX drivers, because I used to use it with the creative drivers for a PCI 512 card. Please help as this is driving me nuts! Soundcard = Audigy Processor = 600MHz |

Freedom is a feature.

Have you loaded any SoundFonts (.sf2 files)?

Sound font Banks
I've loaded a 'Rock' bank, but I don't think this is the General MIDI bank I need, as suggested in another thread on this site.
I now have the idea to get a GM soundfont pack/bank...but where from? Also, my DVD player still crashes...it gets so far WITH sound and then stops. I try CTRL ALT DEL and Blue screen of death! A Fatal Exception error. I think the MIDI problem is curable, but the DVD?...I'm not sure. Thanks for any help you can give. Steve. |
