Driver 3533-rc2 feedback: Soundfont Drumsets
Driver 3533-rc2 feedback:
Hi again: Here is some feedback on Soundfont related problems in your latest release: (This may be related to the sfman dll from Creative; I don’t know) •In Cubase; when selecting the midi channel 10 to select drum sets in a Soundfont; where they are located on Bank #128 of a professional Soundfont (from EMU); the selection of drumsets are not displayed in the patch selection menu (The Creative driver does this). •I don’t get any sound from the metronome in Cubase when selecting the KX synt in order to use a Soundfont drum-set for the metronome click. These issues may be related, and the resolution would be greatly appreciated. If needed I can do some tests. Best regards from Erik. |

Ok, nice.
To clarify myself ; it is in the Patchname column in Cubase that the names and choices of drumsets should be available, i.e.: drm:Electro drm:Orbit Set 3 drm:Orbit Set 2 drm: Orbit Set 1 and so forth.... So you can select the drumkit you want. My test Soundfont is Orbit The Dance Planet Soundfont that can be bought for 15 USD from Soundfont.com Best Regards From Erik. |

Hi,
same problem. Play this MIDI file with MS GS WaveTable Synth, then use a GM Soundfont and play it with kxSynth.... http://www.dev3l0per.devisland.net/RainDust.mid The drums are missing. Cya, dev3l0per

>>Soundfont that can be bought for 15 USD from Soundfont.com sorry, I don't have that soundfont all soundfonts I have are displayed correctly (including drum banks) I cannot fix this issue unless I manage to reproduce it somehow... /Eugene |

for testing I usually use 2-3 versions of sfman32.dll
(pre-3533, 3533 and some others) the latest (bundled with 3533) works better with multiple devices make sure your Cubase is updated, too /E |
