How to delete SFMAN32.DLL???

In order to try an older version of sfman32.dll I need to delete the existing version from my \windows\system32 folder, but everytime I delete it windows XP puts it back. Is there a way to avoid this?

System Specs

theres a folder in windows/drivercache

drivercache contains a backup of the sfman dil

On my system, it appeared to be grabbing the file from somewhere just like yours
you could try doing a safe mode. then search for all instances of sfman32.dll on the drive that contains the installed kx drivers and your os

I manually removed them by booting into a second os, win98

Look for a file called; driver.cab
It's somewhere in \windows\drivercache.......
This cab file contains the native XP drivers.

Rename the file into driver.ca~ or whatever.
Now XP can't default back to its native sfman32.dll anymore.

Next; Search and delete all sfman32 dll files.
(Probably best done in Safe mode)

Re-install your drivers.

G-luck
